PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
figures ScUM couldnt help us out by staying undefeated until we had a chance at them.
I took a little peek at mgo just for sh!ts and giggles...and the prevailing sentimemt was that Hoke's honeymoon is over. That hes just not a good coach. They seem to be coming to terms with that. I even saw a post that said without a lucky BCS win that Hoke seat would be super hot (and not jusy talking about the 9485839485848 nervous farts he let during the game). Could just be the sky is falling folks posting over there but hot dang the Hokesters career averages are catching back up with him.
Ps, I made up the fart part .
Fail! But remember our cheer:
Fail! But just WAIT 'TIL NEXT YEAR!
Fail! Fail! We Missed-Again!
Forever second best!
Help! For the big game losers!
Help! For the choke excusers!
Help! Help! For Michigan
Aid is needed here!
While Ohio State's players hurdled the brick walls of Michigan Stadium in their throwback uniforms to celebrate with Buckeye fans, Michigan tailback Michael Shaw sobbed uncontrollably while walking off the field. - Grand Rapid Press (21-10 OSU)<
That is classic...
TTUN fans would rather talk tOSU failures in the past ten years than their own successes. Probably because they haven't had a lot of success.
Well done, BME. We had a version of "Hail" when I was a student at tOSU. Unfortunately it is not suitable for this site, IMO.
I recall that song
It's very suitable.
Screw 'em. This is basically their 3rd loss so we shouldn't have been counting on them anyway...!!
"When I look in the mirror, I want to take a swing at me."
Wayne Woodrow Hayes
Exactly, Michigan could have 4 losses by the time of The Game.
Ttun lost like 5 times that game. A tremendous display of how not to win.
PSU was TRYING to give them the game!!! I can't recall such a crazy roller coaster ride. PSU and TTUN were like:
"Nah, thanks, but YOU win."
"No, no, you take this one"
No wait, this is rich rod fault...
No wait, the excuse is that they didn't play Michigan football. So now they want to fire Al Borges. Gibbons sure did look like Brotzman out there.
Yes, blame it on Borges.
I will say, though, TTUN did seem to stray away offensively from what was working. Gardner had some brilliant keeps on the option read and was getting 8 or 9 yards each carry. Then that sorta stopped.
Fitz Toussaint may as well have been me carrying the rock.
All the TTUN fans are complaining about the PI penalty but they're fine with the refs ignoring the balant holding calls against them...
Frig that BS...
Maybe try sucking a little a fuckton less and you wouldn't be in that situation anyway.
Well, when everyone looks back to the history book, we'll all see the same thing...a big fat L for the skunk bears from up north!
TTUN's offensive line was holding ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!!!
They are ignoring their fat kicker sucking down donuts instead of practicing. How many did he miss/blocked?
Don't tell Hoke the kid stole the donuts! His life may be in jeopardy!
I don't care about penalties or anything else, the play calling in OT was way to conservative and down rite bad, and their execution sucked. Psu's execution was abismal as well, but the play calling was better and they finally didn't completely suck.
Borges was calling plays like he was terrified of losing, when he called something other than the most predictable run play he could find it worked. I'd put that loss squarely on the kicker, and Borges. Bad bad bad.
I didn't see the game but saw everyone ripping Hoke on Twitter. ....what happened?
He clapped and said "LETS GO!" when up by 11, down by 14, and after losing the game...
Sitting on a 40 yard FG only to get it blocked in the first OT might have something to do with it.
15 points by both teams combined in 4OT's. That was mind-numbingly lame all the way around.
The final outcome, however, was beautiful!
SCUM GOES DOWN...............
Ann does this a lot.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Time to get another kicker. Geesh, he missed like 3 or 4 field goals. Look on Gardners' face after the game...priceless!!
Karma for Gibbons
I was at Gallo's on Bethel having a few and watching. The whole back room was full of scUM fans watching the game.
I could feel their butt-hurt flow after the PI call and how it turned into a delicious gut-wrenching agony in them after the Pedos finally put them down
"To crush the Wolverines, to see them driven from their stadium, and to hear the lamentation of their fans" Conan the Barbarian (paraphrased) on "what is best in life."
It's cool, I got this....
I like this one more.
Good stuff! I tried to rewind but apparently I switched channels at some point.
Lol. The look of dismay...
BME - I take back every nice thing I said about you for the last 6 months. You're killing me with this thread!!
60% of the time it works.....every time
Sorry, I've had a lot of pinned up hate for Michigan, it was bound to come out sooner or later. Let this pass as a healthy release of it as I often don't vent my hate on 11W for cheap upvotes.
Look, you know I've got a lot of respect for your team, and I'm one of the more reasonable people here defending this team and Hoke tenure so much people have questioned if I'm a Michigan fan. However, Michigan performance as of late is really underwhelming and for a team that grabs all of the OL possible and has talent, the excuses are starting to dwindle. All of Rich Rod recruits are nearly gone, Hoke has his pieces in place with good coaches on his staff, develop these young men and play Michigan football. I can make a pass on Akron because of the Tressel curse, and UConn because the OL play wasn't great but the manner in which they play yesterday was embarrassing which doesn't include Gibbons choke job not once, but twice. Gardner is an interception machine and a liability to the offense so much that Hoke has to force him to hand off and create with his feet. Add in the fact that of Michigan 149 yards rushing, the running backs had 28 and this does factor into success for Michigan. I won't slam the Wolverines more than I have now, but give me a reason to believe this team won't regress into another 8-5 team that doesn't live up to expectations. I want to believe this team can perform better and have a reasonable outlook, even as an OSU fan, but its getting harder to defend this team with each passing game. This is Michigan fergodsakes.
Long term, Michigan has all of it's goals ahead of them and this lost might be the catalyst the team needs for that to come forth. Michigan can still win the division, get to Indy, win the Big Ten and get to the Rose Bowl. Lucky for them this wasn't a division game so it doesn't hurt as much and basically puts more on the line when playing Michigan State. Do I think all is lost for Michigan? No. However, something has got to change for this team to have a run game and a more developed offense whether that's changing up the line (Hoke did do that before the Minnesota game right?), coach the players better or something else, save Funk and Borges getting fired midseason.
I guess the silver lining in all of this is that if we laugh at you guys now and then lose in AA to ruin what most are calling national title aspirations (it makes me sick to my stomach to think about), you guys get the last laugh. Cheer up; Tigers won, Michigan Hockey is back among the elite after a terrible year last year and beat a ranked Boston College team and there is much football left to be played. I won't kick you while you're down, but I will get my lolz in at Michigan expense. To not do so would be sacrilegious as an OSU fan.
BME - sadly I can't give you a reason to expect anything better based on what I've seen so far this year. Thanks for the pep talk but unfortunately, the current reality says that Michigan is a mediocre team, plain and simple.
One other piece of good news that's getting me through the day - my cousin gave me his DirecTV login last week so I now have free NFL Sunday ticket on my iPad for the rest of the year. The downside, of course, is that I'm using this access to watch the Lions which is just asking for more emotional punishment.
I wonder if he had Brunette girls on his mind?
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
It took my friend all of 30 seconds to find a way to blame this loss on Rich Rod
I miss Rich Rod and his band of mighty midgets, but me thinks Hoke will continue their quest for mediocrity. Hopefully Indiana will roll them next week!
Big 1 Little 11....
I really wanted an undefeated scUM to host us. Defeating an undefeated scUM (and then, again, a week later) - with the cache that program holds - would have helped us in the BCS polls. Plus, there's this intangible: an undefeated scUM would have had lots more pressure to bear.
It's great Stan lost. Hosting Oregon, I'll give the Cardinal the edge. Though, UCLA might have already upset the Ducks, by then.
But, damn...a one-loss scUM...is a little more dangerous, now.
That they were still undefeated was a mirage, they lost to Akron and then were gifted the W by the B1G refs, and easily could have lost to UConn....they have a couple more losses coming before we get to AA.
This is why you NEVER root for Michelin.
Two blondes were driving to Disneyland. The sign said: Disneyland Left... So they started crying and headed home.
That was un f n real! Great game! Was LouAnn (Lewan) playing in the O.T's?
We only asked them to do one little thing and they have proven time and time again they can't handle the pressure or be trusted. We should have seen this coming with all the close calls this year.
One post from me tonight and then it's back to sulking/watching the Tigers game. We blew it, plain and simple. There were no excuses for losing this game and as a Michigan fan I won't make any. The only thing I'll say is that as a fan, this felt like one of those games in Madden where the computer comes up with all kinds of crazy ways for you to lose. I literally had no confidence in Michigan winning once PSU made a couple crazy catches on that final drive in regulation. OK, rant over. Continue laughing at Michigan's expense while I go drink.
Takes guts coming over here after that game, I have to respect that.
I'm half tempted to venture over to GoBlo and check out that wildfire.
"Success - it's what you do with what you got" - Woody Hayes
Was just there...it was worth a few clicks
Definitely is. Seen some posts wanting Hoke gone and even a small section where they take opinions on who the next coach should be. I'm dying from laughter right now. It really is the most entertaining thing to do at this point in time.
Another +1 for me because the Tigers beat the Sox in Game 1 to take the edge off for me. And a third +1 because I'm smoking ribs today on an NFL Sunday.
Oh who am I kidding? I'm still pissed beyond belief that Michigan choked that game away!
+1 as an advance for the realization that you will soon have that Hoax is a crap coach
Must resist.....temptation....to overreact.....very....very.....difficult....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Well said. I was thinking the same thing when Penn State had the crazy last minute drive. I don't think I would have been able to sleep if this were the Buckeyes.
"Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you."
Yeah, trust me it sucks. It's games like this that make me question why I waste so much time watching football in the first place.
Upvote to you sir for having the guts to post, where is Hail and M Man?............LMAO
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
ttun fans are going to start blaming Buffalo Wild Wings...
I'm slightly bored so I went to m's site. I found this gem from an m fan:
"Oh and there is no fucking way we beat osu this year. They will curb stomp us."
Followed by another m fan:
"More like 'urb' stomp us."
"Yeah, but it's OK. They are a better team with better coaches. It's not like 2006, where we really had a chance. We will lose that game, and it's fine, because there is no pretext of winning. Just like the RR years."
Pretty entertaining stuff.
Yeah, they are fuming.
I swear a pitchfork whizzed by my head upon the initial click.
it was probably a trident thrown by brick.
Geesh, I mean I get the whole post game hysteria but tucking tail and accepting your place amongst the little 11 is a sobering low...
I like it.
I spent some time clicking around there this morning. It is a barely-contained dumpster fire.
I like the "Urb Stomp" quote - Urban should trademark that one.....
I thought TTUN was finally back? Or was that last year? Or the year before?
A severe shitstorm is making it's way through mgoblow right now...
the tears on mgoblog taste SOOOOOOOOOOO gooooood. abandon ship BAHAHAHAHHAAAAAA!!!!!
there is no greater joy than watching Michigan get slammed. in anything
They'll be changing coordinators this offseason; followed by a head coaching change in 2-3 years.
Just imagine if T A&M loses!
That game was insane. TTUN outchoked PSU for sure.
They had 4 OT possessions from the 25 and could not score a single touchdown. OUCH!
Twice PSU failed, and TTUN only needed a kick to win, and...nope. Damn!
You know what they say about playing with fire...
Class of 2010.
Our DLine is gonna feast on Gardner and Toussaint. It isn't even fair
over/under: gardner throws 2 touchdown passes to us
