I'm rewatching the game on BTN, after having attended Saturday night. Im seeing some things for the first time and its made me wonder if Roby might have been playing hurt. Up to the point where Roby made a big tackle on the jet sweep with Gordon, he had been playing a lot more fluid and moving quicker. It may just be me, but I think he suffered some sort of injury to his ribs or muscle on that side and it made him just a split second slower, which is a big difference when playing man coverage all game. Seeing the game on TV, I'm able to see more detail and it's obvious Roby was not as crisp after that incident. Now don't get me wrong, Roby gets flat out beat more than a few times but the majority are plays he'd usually break up or make more happen, so it makes me wonder if making that tackle hurt him enough to affect his play in man coverage. I give a lot credit to Abbrederis and Stave, they made great plays, but I don't think we had a 100% Bradley Roby after that big tackle. The coaches said they put him on an island and he shut down the run great all game. I hope this was just a small injury making a difference because we'll need him more than ever with Bryant gone for the season.
