Like some of you, my second favorite college football team is Northwestern. I have a lot of respect for what they are doing in Evanston. If the Northwestern fanbase would become rabid, like OSU fans and really support their team it would be an even more formidable program. Last week in Ryan Filed they still could not out cheer the numerous OSU fans and that was good for us, bad for them. What is it about the Chicago area, where so much of football history has been made, that has kept the Wildcats from developing the fan frenzy it deserves? Is it the ghost of Amos Alonzo Stagg--cursing the city for removing football from the University of Chicago? Do you think that Northwestern football will ever develop a larger and more fanatical following?
