I'm seeing a few tweets talking about how Northwestern grew their grass extra long and possibly turned off the drainage system to make the field more muddy and neutralize our speed. If true, it's a travesty.

Rumors swirling that Northwestern may cut it tomorrow but there is concern due to the weather that it will be a muddy surface.— jbook™ (@jbook37) October 5, 2013
Northwestern didn't mow the lawn like they said they would, but I bet they made sure they spent some time in the hammock with a beer though!— Tony Gerdeman (@GerdOzone) October 5, 2013
I assume Northwestern not only didn't cut the grass, but they probably turned off the drainage below the field.— Tony Gerdeman (@GerdOzone) October 5, 2013
walked Ryan Field. The grass is ankle high. Like Notre Dame in the old days! But Fitzgerald told me it WILL be mowed tomorrow.— Chris Fowler (@cbfowler) October 4, 2013
