I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
"They don't know what they don't know." - Coach Mick
Josh Freeman is available.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Yeh, the guys on the Fan were pushing Freeman hard. I agree.

Is there an Angry Cleveland QB Hating God?
I think you can exclude QB from that question.
Where's the sharpie...?
You're one edition behind...
Not sure whether to laugh or cry at that.
"Success - it's what you do with what you got" - Woody Hayes
I'm laughing....as the tears run down my cheek
Welp you're going to have to cross through Hoyer and find a way to erase the sharpie through Weeden's name. I hear toothpaste is rather effective at removing permanent marker.
Sucks for Hoyer. The guy played decent...granted against Minnesota and a very banged up Bengals secondary...but I give him props for being better than most of the guys on that list. I still thought the Browns would go about 6-10, maybe 7-9 with Hoyer...now I'm thinking more like 4-12 or 5-11 again. Weeden did OK in the win last night, though the Bills were screwed when Manuel went down...they probably would've won if he didn't.
Class of 2010.
No need to erase Weeden, he's started for the Browns and he was replaced. Think of how many times we shuffled back and forth between DA/Quinn, Frye/DA, etc.
As far as Weeden playing alright last night? No. No he did not.
He was sacked 5 times. Locks onto receivers, refuses to throw the ball to them. Can't go through progressions, throws into coverage. The guy is horrible and his only upside is the ability to improve our chances at getting a top 5 draft pick.
Yeah ... that about sums it up. <Hangs head, walks away in vintage Tim Couch Browns jersey ...>
Well at least we were in first place in 2013. Cant say I thought we would make it this far. Go browns.

"A troll by any other name is still a troll".
Josh Freeman is a free agent now, or momentarily. Makes sense to me.
My buddy thinks they stick with Weeden and draft a QB.
Which would you all prefer? Predict?
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
I'm saying option 2.
Front office has already basically said that they are planning for the future. Plus Freeman seems like an off-the-field liability.
No to Josh Freeman. Just, No.
Would prefer Troy Smith or Vince Young, but I suspect Weeden is the guy for the rest of the year (until he gets hurt).
I believe Hoyer has the goods. He'll be back. No need to draft a QB... I sincerely believe that.
Despite the win last night Weeden is just too painful and frustrating to watch and the proposition of him being the qb for the next 11 games is depressing. I vote for option 1.
As soon as I heard the injury described (I was driving at the beginning of the game) I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Sad.
I have watched exactly one whole Browns game in the last 9 years. I'm a fan by birth but don't really follow the pros. The first time I tune in to see what the current "excitement" is about I get the up and coming QBs knee blown out.
Good win, though. Back to college only.
Thanks for cursing us!!!

People are saying that I'm an alcoholic, and that's not true, because I only drink when I work, and I'm a workaholic.
Ahhh we suck again ...... O the life as a Cleveland fan
I asked back in the "Browns are Cursed" thread, but really think about it - the Browns are in a win-win situation if the sign Josh Freeman - he's already getting his 6mil from Tampa, so you could feasibly sign him for 1 year deal for the vets minimum.
If he's a cancer/sucks you can cut him without any worries. This guy, IMO, would thrive in a Chud/Turner offense and he's more mobile than Weeden. Last year they threw for a similar Comp %, and threw for 700+ more yards and 13 more TDs (70+ more attempts).
We've seen his potential (3,500yds 25TDs 6INTs 61%) in his best season, and Norv Turner has turned around almost every situation he's been in around in the passing game.
If not Freeman, I'd love to see with Chud could do with Vince Young - that guy is a gamer who hasn't really ever got a fair shake in a system catering to his strengths (ala Chud w/ Cam).
I'll take Vince Young before Freeman....The latter comes with all the off field issues and locker room destroying potential...then again, so does the former!
suck it up this year and draft someone next year.
That's so Cleveland.
They are going to have to do at least find another option at qb. Weeden, with as much as he gets himself hit is an injury liability. And they've seen enough of campbell to demote him and start hoyer. Need another qb...I'd rather not tap freeman as the guy to fill that role. But as far as options go, you could do far worse. Dont see it happening...because they have already committsd to rebuilding the offense. Freeman has started and performed well in the nfl. Say they sign him and he performs well. They choose to extend him...then draft a qb. We have already seen how freeman reacts to that situation. No need to add that kind of negativity to what seems to be trending towards a positive situation. The defense has been solid...need some tweaking in the secondary, but overall a solid, young unit. I don't see them pursuing anything other than a veteran stopgap for emergency purposes, which would rule out freeman.
Feel bad for Hoyer. He got his chance and he was rocking it and making good on the opportunity given to him. Sadly, his chance is probably over since I fully expect Cleveland to darft a QB who will undoubtedly be sent to the top of the depth chart and start next season. This just pisses me off. We have looked so good for the last three weeks.
I'm so glad I got sucked back into watching these guys again thinking that they might have a chance
I can't believe I'm absolutely broken over Brian Hoyer tearing his ACL. Thanks, for that, Browns.
HOW DO THESE GUYS NOT KNOW HOW TO SLIDE? IT'S NOT HARD.
Californian by birth, Marionaire by the Grace of God.
It looked like he got caught between sliding and stretching for yardage. He'll hit that slide early next time.
We won, it was a good game to watch, but MY GOD do I hate Weeden. He just freaking stands in the pocket until he sloooowly completes his reads.
The postgame show is brought to you by... Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it...
It's like watching backyard football where the QB thinks he has until "five-one-thousand" before the line can come at him.
"Throw the fucking ball, Weeden!" - me, last night, probably 15 times.
Before I used to think it was just that the WR's weren't getting open...always hard to tell on TV when you can't see everything...then Hoyed stepped in, and it was confirmed that Hoyer is just a sack of shit. Cleveland.
Seriously. Dude sits back in the pocket forever and then has the slowest release I think I've ever seen.
Meant Weeden is a sack of shit there, oops.
I just need one major championship before I leave forever.
Browns should just sign Freeman now and then grab Ben Tate in free agency. Then use their two first round picks on Sammy Watkins and Roby. Then 2nd round grab an interior offensive lineman. 3rd round Safety (Corey Moore, Georgia) and receiver (Odell Beckham).
This leaves the Browns with a very good front seven including Kruger, Mingo, Sheard, Bryant, Rubin, Taylor, and Jackson. Haden and Roby as corners. Moore and Ward at safety. Skrine as nickel corner. On offense the browns would have Josh freeman, ben tate, jordan cameron, sammy watkins, josh gordon, little, bess, benjamin, beckham, joe thomas, alex mack and the 2nd round pick.
Oh god yes. Please. #schadenfreude
Am I missing something? I thought the Browns won Thursday night.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
Oh hey did and I was happier than hell about it. That being sad we won on special teams and defense. Weeden had one td pass which good for him but if you don't give him 30 seconds to hold the ball we are screwed and if someone touches him, he freaks out and has no clue what's going on. Oh and he couldnt read a defense if his life depended on it.
But how about that Travis Benjamin? Cannot believe they continued to kick to him after he was one broke tackle from taking it to the house the first time.
Another one I'm trying to wrap my head around is Greg Little on kickoffs. Did no favors coming out of the end zone and only making it to the ten twice.
