None other than our very own Ohio State Buckeyes vs. UGA.
This is very surprising considering all the hate for OSU out there. I wonder what criteria they used to determine this?
Criteria? Our schedule, prolly...
I would guess us being a good team with a weak schedule showing no games that we should lose (i.e we go unbeaten), and the assumption that we are the only unbeaten at the end of the year, with UGA winning the SEC championship over Alabama.
I have a feeling UGA will win against Alabama this year (if their defense steps up). Alabama, unlike previous years, is flawed and bit weaker on all fronts.
I breathe Linux with a topping of Buckeyes...
When referring to the national championship game, why do people put an M in it to make it MNC?
Nice timing, @red :)

Mythical. As in, we don't have a playoff: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mythical_national_championship
for the longest time I thought it was for Men's National Championship.
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
I thought the same thing for a second until I realized Georgia's hoops team is mediocre. Wouldnt mind seeing Aaron Craft go out with a title though :)

I always thought it was Meh National Championship....

Seems reasonable, that either Oregon or Stanford will go un-defeated. If UGA does beat Alabama in a SEC title game, is that the scenario I fear? A 1-loss SEC champ. team in the MNC over a (hopefully) undefeated Buckeye squad.
If Clemson finishes undefeated and Georgia wins the SEC Championship, that it just about the only way an SEC team doesn't play for the title. An undefeated Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, Oklahoma, or even Baylor would play Clemson. No one would want a rematch with a one-loss team, even if it's from the SEC.
That is probably the best-case scenario for Ohio State. But we still have to go undefeated and that's going to be a tall task.
Hello. Umm, I don't think it matters all these scenarios ... If the bucks are 25-0 , they (we) will play for the crystal .... For one reason : money !!! Think about , they let them play in sugar bowl , made crazy money then took it away ,the win... Last weekend over 6.5 mill viewers for the whiskey game .. Huge ratings National championship 4x's the viewers. .. As long as we don't suffer any more major injuries .:: tosu will hoist the last crystal :). Go bucks. 17-0
