PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
ESPN sent to my phone says he chose PSU over OSU a day early.
Bleacher report just sent the same message looks like a done deal.
Will be our only loss this year ...
I dont have a link it came from an app I have on my phone sorry someone smarter than I will post a link i'm sure.
No worries, just saw it on 24/7. Moving on
It's blowing up on Twitter. I wish him nothing but the best, but I am disappoint; onward and upward.
Or Urbz could just flip him, either or.
Urbz better run up that score on PSU like never before.
TTUN fans would rather talk tOSU failures in the past ten years than their own successes. Probably because they haven't had a lot of success.
Vanett and Heuerman with 4 TDs.

Are you related to ESPN?
Two blondes were driving to Disneyland. The sign said: Disneyland Left... So they started crying and headed home.
If I was I would disown them immediately
Wish him luck, moving on.

Good luck to him, but...
This reminding anyone else of James Quick after the Sugar Bowl last year?
Only difference is that Louisville beat a very good, close to elite Florida team while PSU beat a very average Michigan team.
And Louisville will be better/have better seasons than PSU and is allowed to go to bowl games.
Damn the worst part of losing out on him is that it sounded like we burned the bridge with Luatua trying to go all in with Gesicki
Yeah that bride is pure ashes at this point, I feel...
He will never know an undefeated season. Next...
He won't be able to go to a bowl game until he is a senior right? Penn St is totally capable of going undefeated all though I agree less likely than us. Guy had his reasons im sure but we should just wish the kid luck and move on I guess. It is still a long way to NSD and Urban he is crafty one so you never know maybe Geisicki will have some buyers remorse just sucks seeing one the staff "really" wanted ride off into the sunset.
When does PSU start getting all these 2* players we all predicted would happen??
Maybe they're going to try and develop him or any one of the other 8 TE's into a receiver so they can all see the field at some point.....
I don't usually post comments regarding commitments not going our way, and I'm by no means talking smack or wishing ill-will towards the guy, but MAN! This one really has me scratching my head. I just don't get it.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Reminds me a little of Michigan signing like 20 offensive lineman.
Which is not helping them this season
And yet a junior walk on is starting Saturday.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
Not a coincidence that he committed following the Nittany Lions punching the skunkbears in the throat...
He would have enjoyed it more and more often as a Buckeye...just sayin'
Can't blame the kid, we are a power rushing team by our own admission. Hackenburg seems like a good QB to play with too. Buckeye Night that meme is awesome, ode to the great Indiana Jones.
Damn, I really thought we were going to get him....all those tweets and instragram pics
Hell of a poker player I guess...
He played both sides, I think he liked both. Head to OSU, heart to PSU. He went with the heart.
At this point, I'll be interested to see how his career pans out there, seeing that there at 6 TE's currently on the roster, one of whom is a freshman who was a top 2 TE last year. Maybe he gets buried on the chart, maybe he wins out and plays. Either way, he won't see a REAL big game in his entire college career...at least not a B1G Conference championship or a National Championship game (bc of sanctions until 2016, and then because tOSU will always be there to keep them out).
He retweeted the fact that OSU was leading in the crystal ball 10 hours ago... :(
The buckeyes are definitely leading PSU in the potential to GET a crystal ball.
The will to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win. -- Woody Hayes
That's called top notch trolling...
I guess he didn't care too much about championships and bowl games....
It's not over until it's over. There still are 4 months until NSD, don't count Urban out just yet. The staff will leave no stone unturned to find the best talent in the country.

Hey, good luck to him. His choice and no one else's at the end of the day.
Best of luck to him. Luatua? Or is that dove...
All week long, Meyer preached to his team that he wouldn't pity Buffalo (4--8 in 2012). "I didn't schedule this game," he insisted. "I'm not going to feel bad for them."
Remember recruits read this site. We're all disappointed he didn't pick us, but it's his future- not ours. Good luck to him, may he have great stats and four OSU losses.
On to the next one.
Maybe we can send out that missing piece picture to Luatua and photo shop his face over Gesicki's.
Well, this sucks!
If I'm a star TE I'm picking PSU over OSU as well. TE's were supposed to be a much bigger part of the offense this year.
I've spent time in the South, I don't care what anybody says they don't have the passion for football that us Ohioans have.
I get tired of hearing this. Aaron Hernandez, his Junior year had 68 catches for 850 yards and 5 TDs. This offense will feature a Tight End when it's fully implemented. If a TE gets open, they will get the ball. If you're a big time player, Urban will get you into the offense.
I understand UFM pitching the "hey we need you because our guys now are just good blockers", but If you put yourself in Gesicki's shoes and look at a team who plays in double TE sets quite often, opposed to a team who hasn't truly utilized talented TE's they have had in past years, along with very few targets for our current guys.... I guess I can understand why he would chose PSU. It's always tough when you miss on a great recruit, at the end of the day we will find our man. I'm still not giving up on Baugh as the future.
Also, I'm holding out hope that Urban keeps after the kid and we can flip him. You never know, so now we do our part as fans and not attack or turn on the kid.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Best of luck to the kid. I was hoping to land him, but he has to follow what he feels is the best decision. I can certainly see why he chose to go to Penn State. He is able to stay closer to home, gets play for a good coach in Bill O' Brien, and play in an offense that utilizes the tight end more than we might ever. I can't blame him for following his heart.
Maybe he rethinks his decision after tonight's beat down......

Yeah, he probably thinking he should have held off that decision for a couple more weeks. If he recants and swears alliance maybe, just maybe, Urban will find favor with him and let him enter into the fold. Open your eyes and repent, Mike.
Time will tell and nothing is official until NSD.
winning isn't everything
No, it's the only thing!
"The minute we stop expecting greatness, we become Wisconsin."
Winning isn't everything, but losing and having your fans complain about Urban "running up the score" says a lot about the state of the program.
winning wont change anything for gesicki and it shouldn't. we were expected to win and im sure he knew that. tbh, i dont want him anymore. move on and win without him. plus, its not like we lit up the field with our tight ends against psu. now that would've been sweeeeet!
^^^^ This. Did we even target a TE last against PSU? It will be hard to get good pass catching TEs to OSU when they aren't incorporated into the pass offense. I don't really care how OSU scores 45+ points a game, but it shouldn't be a shock when these top pass catching TEs choose Penn State (Breneman and Geisiki).
Everyone says this, but you also have to consider that you game plan and design plays on what strengths you have. We don't really have any outstanding athletic "pass-catching" tight ends in Jeff Heuerman or Nick Vannett, so, it's tough to say what we would do with one. The two we current have are top notch players because they block so damn well and can catch when we need them to.
Once we get Marcus Baugh up to speed, we can form a judgment on how we want to use them.
Come on guys....I'm all about shadenfreude but let's win with a little class. :) Leave the poor kid alone.
tight end play is usually in my opinion directly related to the qb preference. peyton manning will find a way to use whatever te he has becuz thats his preference. other qb's just may not have that instinct or preference.
