Hey guys, I'm flying into Columbus this weekend from Seattle to attend the Penn State game, which will be my first night game in the Shoe! needless to say, I'm pretty stoked, but I want to make sure that I get the most out of the night game experience, which is where you fine chaps come in. All of the previous Buckeye games I've attended have been Noon or 3:30 affairs, so how does the starting time difference impact gameday?
I guess the most important thing is, what time does the Skull Session occur for an 8PM game? I'm guessing some changes have occurred since UFM took over; does Urban even participate in the SS? I haven't been to the Shoe since 2011, but for some reason I have blocked that 3 hours completely from memory, as well as the words "Bauserman", "Joe", "Incoming" and "Seriously, fuck Joe Bauserman". Also, does the Skully still happen at St. John's? Are there any other pre-game rituals that Urban has initiated since his arrival?
Aside from the SS, are there any other pre-game festivities worth checking out? I think it was in 2010 that I did the brunch at the Blackwell, so is there anything else similar to that occurring?
I think I'll be taking a shuttle from the Sawmill Road area, so I am not worried too much about parking. I assume the game won't be getting out until 11:30-12, and I always stay for Carmen, so no leaving early for me. I'm flying in Thursday night and leaving Tuesday, so pretty much any awesome Buckeye related things to do would be appreciated. I remember being in my late teens and early 20s and going to the Buckeye Hall of Came Cafe place on Olentangy, but I thought I remember hearing about that place closing down. Any good Buckeye themed places worth checking out? Thanks for everyone's input!
