PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Like everyone else, I love watching this kid get the ball. Special things coming for him and OSU.
Thanks for posting.
Good read. Austin Ward does a good job covering OSU for ESPN.
Can you imagine how crazy this offense is going to be when we are able to throw Jalin Marshall, Parris Campbell, Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel into the mix with Dontre , EzE and company. Oh my!
It will also be nice to have a 6'5'' Jeff Greene, Noah Brown, Lonnie Johnson with James Clark and Corey Smith as the wideouts.
That is a lot of speed with some really nice size on the outside.
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
Don't forget Michael Thomas. He's got size and hands.
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
Thanks for the story. Here's an article from Tim May of Columbus Dispatch today on Dontre for those who want more:
Cool...thanks for sharing DMC.
"Success - it's what you do with what you got" - Woody Hayes
This made possible by Chip leaving Oregon.... I suppose we owe him a "thank you" toast. It sure helps to have a rockstar like Coach Meyer on our side.
Am I alone in that I seem to forget that JT brought in some awesome classes? I don't mean to.. it's just that the recruiting buzz around Ohio St is so high lately that I seem to forget about the great classes over the last 10 years. My bad...
Wait til you see him next season, says Urban.
Absolutely going to wreck shi...
Years from now they'll be recruiting for the Dontre role
The postgame show is brought to you by... Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it...
5' 10"??? He looks every bit of 5' 6" out there.
"Buclkle your chinstrap, we're gonna grind meat!" - Woody Hayes
I have seen a picture, of the team singing Carmen Ohio and I think that he was standing next to Tyvis Powell. Tyvis is listed at 6'3" and top of Dontre's head barely above Tyvis's shoulder pads. I showed it to my wife and we both concluded that he might be 5'8". In those first few games he looked like a little kid out there playing with the big boys.
come to think of it, even though tressel's players did have that 6-7 season, a majority of them have won these 20 games in a row, with some of meyers players sprinkled in...
Hoping this is one link we all go to
Every time Dontre comes out on the field I jump up outta my seat.
I think we all start chomping at the bit for him to get the touch. Can you imagine this kids development when he has been in our systems for 2-3 more years?
I call it out every time I see him come in, and I am usually simultaneously scooting forward in my chair.
The kid is exciting.
I thought he was taking that kick back, and am still stunned the kicker cut him off.
It's fun hearing Urban sound excited about the future like he did in there "wait till you see him next year"
He just needs more weight and strength. I tell yah that EZE has looked all world every time he carries the rock as well. These guys will make the future loss of Hyde more tolerable. Next man up!
“I have yet to be in a game where luck was involved. Well-prepared players make plays. I have yet to be in a game where the most prepared team didn't win.” -Urban Meyer-
EZE Dunn and Ball will be given an opportunity next year to start. Sit back and relax
Don't forget Rod Smith. As it currently stands, he is the incumbent #1 after the natural removal of the top of our depth chart...not that I necessarily think it will end up that way, just saying that that's how it currently stands.
Urban said Dontre already packed on 15 lbs since he got here which should put him at about 190. By the start of his sophomore campaign, he will probably top out at 205, much more strength, blocking ability, playbook knowledge. Yeah, he's 3 and done!
