This past offseason was the birth of the all hype machine. We can all agree that Clowney was a destructive force last year. Can you imagine if this was Braxton Miller? We would be going nuts!
Let's just keep all of our faults in perspective- B. Miller was not on top of his game last night. The D got torched for the second week in a row by a weak passing offense and our head coach made a panic decision in the first half with the fake punt deep on our side of the 50. But... we have won 18 games in a row. Our backup QB led us to a few W's when our starter and hype machine was legitimately injured. Our players believe in the system the coaches have implemented and they all have each others back (e.g. Ryan Shazier does not have loyalty to his jersey number because he changed his number out of respect for a senior who may never suit up in Scarlet and Gray again).
I will take this team (coaches and players) over anything else or anyone else in the country. I would felt the same way with a loss last night. I couldn't care less about our faults. We are going to lose a game at some point in the next 12-15 months, it is bound to happen- I'm already over it.
We are a passionate and fanatical fanbase. Just try to enjoy what we have while we have it for a moment. It is only once every so often you get a team like this.
