"We went into win the game mode in the 4th quarter".
What? Many of you posted in my "No statement game tonight" thread and realized how disappointed I was in the final score. Well Urban and Herman's statements confirm what many of us have summized....he tightened up and went into Tresselball to preserve a victory.
Well in the interim Wisky made a valent comback. So in essence we went in to "prevent" offense as well as defense in the 4th quarter. I love Urban Meyer with a passion, but this is the first time I have had pause and disagreed with a portion of his philosophy in game management. Actually it is quite shocking. He always seemed to remain aggressive for 4 quarters and bury his opponents while at Florida in the SEC. This is frustrating to learn that he is going to operate this way in ole school B1G fashion. Will this type of ingame philosophy in close games cause the team to tighten up as we continue our winning streak? Our players seem to thrive on fast aggressive playcalling , especially Brax. I dunno folks. Opinions......discuss.
