PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
This is a blow to our SOS since they were a decent team last year. They lost 40-19 to Eastern Illinois.
Fighting Tony Romos...they may have been looking ahead to OSU, or they really are that bad but I think SDSU will give us a push. Our OOC SOS is horrible, although Cal isnt a horrible team IMO. Bit of a mixture of poor program development by Cal (this would have been a great match up poll-wise if Cal had continued its little bit of success) and poor scheduling by Gene Smith. Our SOS will improve, but this year, specifically OOC is horrible.
I think they simply are bad this year. Even if you are looking ahead, you don't get blown out by an FCS team.
Toledo - Ohio's right armpit
"A troll by any other name is still a troll".
They weren't blown out by App St though. It's one thing to lose to an FCS team, its a different thing to get blown out by an FCS team.
While I agree GOBUCKS in the short term them loosing to the panthers may effect t'OSU's sos it's a long season and whether the haters like it or not the Bucks have the longest winning streak in football. An undefeated Bucks team will be in Pasadena playing for a national championship.
"GIMMIE THAT BEAT FOOL!!! IT'S A FULL TIME JACK MOVE" Ice Cube jack for beats..
Well, that pretty much guarantees that any result less than 100-0 will have half this board on life support next Saturday.
LOL and this is so funny because it's so true. We'll also need to score 30 of those 100 with the third string offense and have at least 3 pick sixes because our defense is a concern. Then we the fans will be happy.
As far as the scheduling, don't forget Vandy backed out. Had Vandy not backed out the pre-B1G would have been a very respectable set of games with a Pac12 and an SEC opponent in there.
If we win 100-0 and have stupid penalties, turnovers, and missed tackles like yesterday........then yes........it would still be cause for concern. You won't beat a team like Bama doing that.
Not sure if this is serious.
If you would honestly complain after a 100-0 victory, you will complain about anything.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Bama is invincible. Even if Ohio State played perfectly against Bama, perfection cannot defeat invincibility.
[p.s., the 80s/90s Miami Hurricanes national champ teams never had stupid penalties, missed tackles, or turnovers].
well there are already fewer folks to jump off the ledge this week then there were before the first game because the Buckeyes gave up 20 points and looked less than otherworld dominant
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
Does anyone know why Muema didn't play? He was pretty much half their offense last year.
“Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.”
Didn't know about that , good catch Chillitown. SDSU supposedly has a lot of returning starters, they can't be that bad, I think there must be reasons for that score.
I am kind of surprised it wasn't a story at all. I haven't found anything about his situation. I was looking forward to our D going against him. I think it would be a good early challenge. Maybe he will be back next week?
