PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Anderson is going to have a lot of success in west. Borland is a beast, man on that pop on Hyde at GL.
Agreed I thought that Hyde had the momentum and Boland pushed him back. Great game and hopefully the bullets learned a lot. We have to now prepare for pass happy NW. Go Bucks
Borland is a beast. But I felt that in the second half of the game last night that Carlos Hyde was run down. He just isn't in game shape yet. Everyone else has already played four games before last night and he played like what, 10 snaps total in the one game he played? Hyde did not meet Borland at the point of contact with the same speed he had earlier in the game and he payed for it big time.
Kind of wish TTUN had to play Wisconsin this year - i think Wisky would wipe the floor with them. They definitely got better under Anderson and Bert Bielma leaving was a blessing is disguise.
I for one am glad that game is behind us. Wisconsin is a very physical team.I wish the B1G would keep our game with Wisconsin as a yearly deal like Michigan. I really like the hard nose game they have been giving us the past few years and personally I think it helps up to play these kind of games instead of the cupcakes.
I truly believe we got lucky in this one, a fumbled punt that Wisconsin recovered and then they lined up wrong, a fumble by Braxton near the Buckeyes 10 that was negated by a facemask penalty and a missed fg. Could have easily been a different outcome
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
After watching them both, I think Wisconsin is quite a bit better than Northwestern. Northwestern doesn't have the size or the physicality to get stop the power run, and I think Braxton will have a lot of time to throw. They have the athletes to keep the game close, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the OSU OL and DL bully NW a little bit.
I haven't had a chance to see Northwestern play, but Wisky was everything I expected. Big, physical offensive line that is well coached. I was kind of caught of guard by their D. I thought the Buckeyes would dominate the line of scrimmage, but Wisky hung tough and Borland played like a man possessed. I hope your right about NW Buck-I.8.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Double Directional University worries me because of their passing ability and its away at night. I'm hoping to see a sea of scarlet like the Cal game. Don't those students have an important engineering exam early Monday? I also don't like the fact they've had 2 weeks to prep and we just finished a physical game with Wisky. Roby is playing hurt it seems. We lost Christian. If we lose a game this season, it will be next Saturday. Lots to be concerned about.
It was weird. I actually did not have any animosity towards Wiskey this year. Every year prior, I am always rooting for Wiskey to lose and take great joy in the suffering of their fans. This year I was just hoping for a good game, and it was! I am actually going to be sad now that we won't be playing them on a yearly basis. Here's to hoping we run into them in the B1G championship game in the future.
