Let me preface by saying, I assume we have the ability to kick off through the endzone if desired. I believe I've heard Urban say we try to kick it to the 1 and nail them back deep. I also heard him say he was happy with kick coverage so I assume the results below are acceptable. With that said, I have to ask if this is wise? Below are the drive starting field position post-kickoff for UB and SDSU. In a game that is much closer, is it worth taking the risk of having someone take it to the house to gain 10 yards? Let's assume we're never going to nail them inside the 10 and the 25 is the default for a touchback. As you see below, we are really risking it for much less, closer to 4 yards. In short is it worth gaining 4 yards while risking a a trip to the house in a close game?
