PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
At work, so I figured I'd start one...S Carolina isn't looking to good.
Shaw is out, didn't sound good.
All week long, Meyer preached to his team that he wouldn't pity Buffalo (4--8 in 2012). "I didn't schedule this game," he insisted. "I'm not going to feel bad for them."
WVU game is tight so far.
Miami is pounding USF. Ooops, Duke Johnson is laying on the turf.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
South Carolina unimpressive as usual thus far.
I wouldn't mind the Miami game, but I am at work.
21-7 Miami. Stephen Morris looks like Drew Brees.
Wow. This is my first weekend with Verizon Fios, and...I have duty!
Damn. Shaw is out of pads and iced up.
The nephew is in the game! Completes his first pass.
Illini are impressive so far; steamrolling Miami (OH). Purdue is in a close one with NIU. Lynch is the real deal.
Miami fumbles at the goal line, USF has the ball. Big helmet to helmet hit on Duke Johnson.
USF fumbles in the endzone and Miami recovers. 28-7
30 yard completion for Ryan Williams. Miami 1st and goal.
Anyone else think Connor Shaw has a broken collarbone? Someone needs to tell Purdue they don't get to suck for Luck. Rob Henry is pretty bad, gotta think the only reason they aren't playing Ettling is to make sure an open competition with no between him and Blaugh takes place next year with no favorite heading into it.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Yeah Purdue is getting blasted, 27-7 NIU. Illinois looks really good
Apparently UCF and S Carolina have traded uniforms, or UCF is in the SEC.
Galloway has to get so bored listening to Beth Mowins. What a rough gig.
wow big drop, underthrown by a bit, but better to underthrow it so that you don't put it too far for him to have a chance. no excuse.
HAHAHA Big man punt return!!
I'm not sure if they've talked about Clowney enough yet. For a guy that gets hyped more than Lawrence Taylor you would think he could have an impact against UCF. Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, just a tad overrated IMO.
I don't think he is overrated, but he plays a position that you can neutralize pretty easily if there aren't any other players that you have to key on. Everybody doubles him or just doesn't even block him and runs a way from him. Someone else on that line needs to step up or it's going to be like this all year.
I wouldn't say his talent or physical abilities are overrated, but I would say he is vastly overrated as a player. He doesn't have a high motor and plays borderline lazy. He's basically the anti-John Simon.
Physically, he's a freak capable of amazing plays at any given moment, but mentally he just isn't a superstar. He doesn't dominate the way somebody with his abilities should.
Lavar Arrington was talking about him on the radio here in DC yesterday and said basically the same thing, but more vehemently. He said he just wasn't impressed with Clowney. His opinion was that there is no excuse at all for a player that talented to fail to be a major factor so often.
Whats the South Carolina score?
Class of 2010.
Sorry Purdue, you suck.
Rob Henry has to be the worst QB in the B1G, on any roster even. How did they even hang with Notre Dame?
Feel bad for a good coach like Darrel Hazel. Tough deal. His squad is deficient of talent.
THE URBANATOR AND HIS BOYS' JOURNEY HAS JUST BEGUN; 26-0 IS COMING BABY!!
Because ND isn't that good this year.
USF just had a 2 yard punt. You don't see that everyday.
NIU will go undefeated this year, and play in their 2nd consecutive BCS bowl.
Flipping 'tween WVU-Pokes and UCF-SCAR.
Is it 8 o'clock yet?

Truly....very few games on today that I care to sit and watch, so I'm just checking updates online.
I just turned on Purdue/NIU, and then heard the Beth. *Channel quickly changed*
After the game, we'll hear that the entire South carolina team had the flu, but nobody knew about ituntil they were down by 2 scores.
Ryan Williams throws 54 yard strike. Then throws for the touchdown! 42-7 Miami.
49-7 Miami. Anyone have a South Carolina update?
South Carolina now up 14-10. UCF was starting to drive, grinding out two FDs, but then tried a poorly executed halfback pass, back across the field, and it was INT'd. USC at the UCF 30 yd line.
SEC refs doing the USC v. UCF game? Refs just gave South Carolina very favorable spot on 3rd down play. It will be 4th and inches instead of 4th and 1.0 - 1.5 yds.
Btw, USC is on UCF's on 11 yds line, up 14-10, as the 3Q ends.
SC will go for it and . . . get it on QB sneak. First and goal at the 9 yd line.
TD South Carolina., now up 21-10 early in 4Q. UCF is on the ropes. Will probably need big KO return to stem the momentum.
BS Call on the play @UCF.
SOUTH ALABAMA MAKING THINGS INTERESTING!
Why the hell is the FSU-BC game airing on both ESPN2 and ABC!? They should be airing the Iowa game on ESPN2....
The wizards of regional coverage.....I have Iowa-Minn here in Maryland.
3-0, Iowa. What I've seen is ugly (flipping 'tween LSU-GA, OU-Fig Thing Irish and this).
I have Iowa-Minn on ABC as well here in NW Ohio.
Heard the last few minutes of the Purdue game in the car on XM. Purdue announcers, same guys who were gloating when the Bucks choked there in 2011. Not so today, big time pucker factor.
Turnover Tommy has 2 ints in the first quarter, 14-7 Oklahoma.
Lol @ FSU...
TTUN fans would rather talk tOSU failures in the past ten years than their own successes. Probably because they haven't had a lot of success.
Buffalo > UConn. Jus sayin.
If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. ~ Bruce Lee
Boston Coll just got screwed how on earth was that a catchable ball?
these sec defenses are stout.
Man, I was hoping the Gophers would win Floyd today.
Come on Boston College!
Jameis Winston bombing one for a TD right before halftime. He has tremendous arm strength but an elite defense is going to embarrass him when he throws up jump balls like that.
He's legit. What's actually impressed me most about him is that he has zero fear of getting hit. Stays in the pocket and follows through on his throws despite getting bull-rushed by a defender.
Glad he didn't end up at Alabama.
I'm becoming somewhat impressed with Iowa today. If Iowa hadn't choked to a good NIU team, they'd be undefeated and would potentially be that way heading into the Shoe. If they're able to beat MSU next week, there's a good chance they'll be ranked at 5-1 when heading into Columbus.
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
Where is the vaunted LSU defense?
Georgia. That was pathetic.
We already knew UGAs defense sucks.
God I hate LSU. LSU's starting QB was kicked off his last team due to sexual assault charges against him, and of course the almighty Jeremy Hill was in no way punished for his vicious assault and kept his starting job. Yet, Ohio State has the "culture problem", according to ESPN.
Only in the SEC.
UGA TD was too fast, they will lose...
Yet, Ohio State has the "culture problem", according to ESPN.
Yet, Ohio State has the "culture problem", according to ESPN.
And therein lies the answer.
Nice play, UGA!
I guarantee, even if LSU loses, they drop 2-3 spots, max. They'll be in the top ten all year and will easily leap up into the top 3 if they beat Bama later on.
Wow how about these two SUC defenses!?!?!?! Two top ten teams, really should be two top 5 teams according to CBS and Vern.
Excuse my grammatical errors sec. Such homerism in polls over the last several years.
The whole top 25 should be SEC according to Vern. His logic is that they're so much better than everyone else they should all be ranked at least twice.
Our Honor Defend!
Alabama is the only major SEC team without a loss (not counting Mizzou and Ole Miss). If Bama takes a loss anytime this season, opens the door for two undefeated non-SEC teams in the BCS NCG imo. Cart way before the horse, but nice to think about!
Well, at least we know LSU won't jump us this week.
It's hard for me to not pull for Georgia. It seems like they're the least of the SEC evils.
Yes, they are the only team whose coach and fans don't seem to be quite as inbred and obnoxious as the rest of the league.
This is good. After tonight only two SEC teams will be undefeated, Alabama and Missouri. Mizzou will drop multiple games this year. If LSU can take out Bama and we win out we are in the title.
You may be right, but it's pretty obvious to me thus far that the voters are going to do anything they can to see Clemson, Oregon or both in the title game. I think one of those two has to lose at some point, though.
This is one of the sloppiest Bama teams I've seen in Saban's time there. Two fumbles in one drive that Ole Miss couldn't take advantage of.
Make that 3 fumbles. Their D-Line is blowing our O-line apart. There is an Ole Miss defender in the backfield almost instantly, on almost every single play. We can't run because there's no holes to run through.
On defense, we can't stop those short passes over the middle or in the flat, it's been our Achilles' heel all year, and it makes me crazy!
I was hoping to see them come out and finally have a dominant performance. Unless they figure something out in the locker room, looks like I'll be waiting another week.
Is it just me, or does the team just looked very uninspired to you this year?
I mean, they have the talent. They have the coaching. But every Bama game I've watched so far this year, the team just looks like it's sleep-walking and operating under the assumption that they're going to win by default because they're Bama. Reminds me a bit of the 2010 season. That team was incredibly talented, just didn't bring the juice every week and ended up 10-3. This team will finish better because of their schedule, but don't know how they can get through the season undefeated playing with this kind of energy.
I agree. There's absolutely no fire or energy to them AT ALL. I do know one thing, for sure, and that's how much I miss our O-lline from last year. I knew they were special, and it would hurt to lose them, but I had no idea just how spoiled we were.
We can't establish a run game, which we used to pummel people into submission, control the time of possession battle, and just break the spirit of the opposing teams. Ole Miss is DESTROYING our O-line tonight, and it's incredibly frustrating. We WILL lose a game at some point if something doesn't improve with both the O-line and our pass coverage in the short/mid range.
E. Carolina just beat N. Carolina by 24.... lol @ SCAR
There's what Johnny Maissasshole does after a TD pass and then threre is what Braxton does after a TD pass.
