As a Buckeye fan watching the game on TV today, I wanted to give a big tip of the cap to the B1G Network's commentators for today's game. I clicked on the TV expecting to be relegated to the likes of the farm-league staffers ESPN usually trots out for games like these (ala Mowins / Galloway). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of today's crew. All were very well-prepared, provided thorough coverage for both teams, asked some good interview questions on the sidelines and shared some great historical anecdotes. Well done, BTN! You've come a long way in the last few years. Thanks for making these games versus overmatched opponents a little more enjoyable (and not forcing me to hit mute to pipe in the radio)! Also, glad to see you'll be doing some documentaries and other journalistic coverage during the season. Credit where credit is due...keep up the good work.
EDIT: I'm handicapping them versus the normal competition for games like these. They made plenty of mistakes in calling out all the right names--which is hard to do for games like these when the fourth-stringers are in and there are multiple numbers being played on both sides of the ball. I'm merely expressing my gratitude for them keeping it interesting with stories and facts while we drubbed the opposing team.
