PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Va Tech will be wearing these tonight vs Ga Tech.
WOW. I'm apparently one of those people in the minority who enjoy the alternate jerseys and helmets...but this one makes no sense at all...is this helmet supposed to be some preview of the wall they're going to run into when they play the Buckeyes?
Hokie not Hoke...as in Virginia Tech not Michigan
I think he's referring to the upcoming home and home series we have lined up with Va Tech
Fan of bacon since 1981
The real issue is with the lines running through the stone image is it makes the helmets look like a backsplash for kitchen as opposed to a football helmet.
ahhh, you may be correct. and this is also a great example of why i don't downvote people.
I love the Bender Avatar!
Yes, kudos on the Bender avatar!
Aren't they both just a couple of turkeys?

I don't think it looks very good, but it is cool because it is supposed to look like the stone that can pretty much only be found in Blacksburg. The quarry that mines the Hokie Stone can only sell it to Va Tech.
Hmm Cool. Looks like a kitchen backsplash. Next.
Time and change will surely show how firm they friendship... O-HI-O.
I like it; it is the Hokie stone which is mined nearby and covers a lot of their buildings.
All week long, Meyer preached to his team that he wouldn't pity Buffalo (4--8 in 2012). "I didn't schedule this game," he insisted. "I'm not going to feel bad for them."
Listened to some Uni Watch thing on this; apparently they look beige when in natural light.
What the hell is a Hokie, anyway?
A cupcake named after you know who...
Don't confuse with the new HOKE DONUT HELMET...

It looks like somebody taped a sheet of Home Depot flooring samples to a helmet.
Holy hard-scaping helmets, Batman!
Next great uniform idea: it looks like all the players are dressed up and playing with suit and ties on. Cherry on top is the helmet looks like a fedora. Boom.
All I could think of when I saw this was "Yabba Dabba Don't"
I would have gone with a natural granite or quartz!
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
I thought this was about Hoke and Fred Flintstone.

talked about for years, Iowa will finally unleash their pro-combat uni's this year, according to BHGP.
BTW, VaTech's helmets are fit only for Block Heads
Love the Iowa pro-combat uni! Well done, JBGB.
Re: Iowa pro combats. Where's the pigtails?
Love the mock bib overalls, though. Perfect.
Two blondes were driving to Disneyland. The sign said: Disneyland Left... So they started crying and headed home.
Nebraska just filed a lawsuit for stealing their ProCombats.
Its about as ugly as a helmet can get.
Hokie stone. It looks good at first but crumbles under pressure.
That's the ugliest helmet I've ever seen. It looks like my 30 year old kitchen countertop...which needs an update, BTW.
That's the worst helmet I've ever seen.
Theres a hidden message in the stone...it reads Gunga La Gunga.
Do you guys see it?
So I've got that going for me.

Phil Connors is that you?
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
The helmets are as bad as this game ...
Those helmets couldn't have looked any worse with their normal unis. I thought they would at least change up the rest of the unis to attempt to match the helmet somewhat.
Side note - the game was terrible. Ga Tech's offense was painful to watch.
Horrible! Looks like a linoleum pattern.

scUM will be wearing these for "The Game"
