Biggest thing I took away from the Cal game (except the W of course) was the future outlook for our offense. I was worried after last year that this offense would require an exceptional athlete/playmaker at the quarterback position (Braxton) to be successful.
After watching the Cal game with Kenny G running the show, I realized that the quarterback just has to be the point guard/facilitator for this offense to go. Sure the quarterback must be an accurate passer and capable runner, but they do not have to be an exceptional athlete for this offense to generate yards/points.
Looking towards the future I see a lot of this point guard/facilitator in JT Barrett and even Stephen Collier. With the weapons that Urban has brought in (or is currently bringing in) the quarterback just needs to get the ball to them and make good decisions when his number is called.
