First of all, when I see a forum post or a topic here on !!W that reflects another hack story against Ohio State, I rarely click on the link, although I have read a few in the past. I typically read the staff's blurbs and then the comments from people who went and read the article...and have always gotten as much takeaway as reading it myself.
So... I think there is a solution to this dilemma some folks have with the compulsion to "click n read" for themselves (the very tendency the May's and Travis's count on!), and the solution is simple. It could conceivably start right here at Eleven Warriors and spread to other Ohio State Blogs and media sources as well.
Here it is: I am more than willing to have the staff here to read those hack pieces (for me)...repost the gist of it here...with the added commentarial flavor only !!W has...
...and I never have to boost the hack's click count again!
In fact, if other OSU blogs would agree to do the same for their readership, it could result in multiple thousands less in clicks...and would be reflected significantly in their results. Of course, haters are still going to click and read...and I say screw em, they can have the drivel, and even join the hate for all I care.
Hate makes success so much sweeter anyway.
I would venture a guess that a lot of Ohio State fans who normally would click on these "feces-laden pieces" would settle for !!W's version (or their blog staff version) of the translation, and feel good about not helping the haters.
The drop off might even be noticed by these media hacks enough to piss em off.
And that would be sweet.
