Kiffin don't know.
I say we rest Miller just to make sure he's healthy for Wisconsin. I really believe we can handle Cal with Kenny G.
Didn't NW play most of their game against Cal w/o Kain Colter?
and without Venric Mark
Indeed. Cal looks at the game as a "should have won" because of the 2 pick 6's but, they forget our two best players were out.
The key against Cal isn't Braxton or Guiton, it's the defense.
rest him up and let him heal. if we cant beat Cal with kenny, we have bigger problems than braxtons knee.
He has a semi? The obsession of some fans just makes me shake my head sometimes. Leave his nocturnal emissions out of this sickos.
I see what you did there
Of course we don't need Braxton to beat Cal but that's beside the point. The reason you play your starters in these games are so they can gain experience and build chemistry through game reps. If you want to beat better teams your starters, especially your QB, need game reps, there's no way around it. If he's ready and the doctors clear him, i want him out there (Provided playing won't make the injury worse).
You are spot on. Yes, it would be nice to "rest" Braxton so he is healthy for the Wisc game. However, if we continue to "rest" him, he may then look "rusty" for a game that matters. Remember us all being frustrated with slow starts from Brax last year? That can be eliminated (hopefully) with continuous reps in the games leading up to B1G play.

I wasn't implying rest him just to rest him. I am not sure the extent of his injury, so why use him if there is a chance he could aggravate it worse than what it is.
This. I've read some people saying that Miller won't play but will 'be available' and I just don't understand why, if a guy is cleared to play in the game, you don't play him. I know people don't want Miller to get hurt or play injured, but he did it last year and he will this year, and if you only let him play 3 quarters out of the first 4 games, OSU will have some serious struggles against Wisconsin and Northwestern and maybe later in the season. You absolutely need these games to create chemistry. And for all we know Miller sits 4 games and then comes out and strains something again. There's no way to predict which game he'll get hurt and you can't just try to save him for the important games, or it will backfire and hurt the team.
The reasoning is a no brainer. Braxton will end up writhing in pain on the turf. Urban would rather just not see that against CAL.
Regardless, this will be the breakout game for Dontre Wilson and I cant wait to hear Gus call some of his plays. I think we will be fine without Braxton, but selfishly I want him to play if he is capable, because it is our first big game in the national spotlight. I want the whole county to see that the Bucks are legit.
Yeah, Dontre is definitely getting more touches.
I'm sure the guys on D at Cal are trying, but I think they would probably still have trouble if Cardale were playing. As much as I'd like to see Braxton pick their secondary apart, I wouldn't mind a little bit of this on a nice Saturday evening:
...and _ichigan still sucks.
