PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
He's injured... he went out rather early with a 'lower body injury'.
Hope he is OK. The D overall looked good today.
They said lower body injury. Not sure what that means.
"Sherman ran an option play right through the south" - Greatest Civil War analogy EVER.
Missed it thanks
He went out in 1st quarter. Not really acknowledged by announcers. Wondered why Steve Miller was getting early reps.
Steve Miller played very well. Michael Bennet is playing like an all B1G Defensive Lineman.
The announcers were not so attentive to the game. so many plays & events & those 2 were talking up grocery lists, old time stories, & history lessons. I saw 37 knock down a pass; don't know who he is but it was a great play (4th quarter); not even a word. Saw 55 do a great play-no idea who he is & no comment by the commentators. Did they hire them to call the plays? I guess I'll need to keep a roster next to me.
Also, did mike mitchell get in today's game?
55 is Cam Williams, 37 Josh Perry
Agreed. That aggravates me to no end. They're there to give us GAME information. One of our defenders got owned on a wide receiver screen. I had to look it up to find out who it was (Oh, NO! V Bell!). Ridiculous!
Rmichaels, check out the guide in the weekly preview. Has full roster for each team. 11W has you covered!
I thought Joshua Perry looked pretty good yesterday. If he continues to develop he'll be bringing it in the B1G conference play. Thoughts?
Sorry for the DV, was supposed to be an uv. As far as perry, I agree. I think his playing time will be determined by what formation the buckeyes use mostly. 4-2-5, fewer onfield appearances, 4-3 more appearances. The formations will be determined by how the LB core performs as well as what the opposition is doing. OSU is thin and young at LB but pretty deep yet still young at DB. the staff will put the best players on the field as much as possible which is why I believe we are seeing a lot more 4-2-5. It also matches up much better against a 3 or more wide receiver set so u don't end up w as many mismatches in coverage.
Offset the fat finger with a +1 for you.
Miller played really well.
They showed Diesel sans pads on the sidelines. He wasn't limping around or anything...
The postgame show is brought to you by... Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it...
He looked like he was limping as the clock expired.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Groin injury according to the post game presser. Listed as day to day.
Tip of the cap to you TASPRA you beat me by 1 minute. LOL
Because they wouldn't let me go for 3!
Woody Hayes 1913-1987
That could be bad, wasn't Bennett's ongoing injury a groin injury last year?
Per Urbz in the Post Game Presser he has a groin injury and at this time is listed as day to day. We will see how that is updated early in the week.
I'm a little worried because of how Michael Bennett's groin injury affected his past season. Hopefully this one isn't too serious.
Miller looked like he was playing with a lot of heart and effort. It was nice seeing Bosa get some snaps too.
Does Bosa look like he is nursing a leg injury? He seems to hobble a lot out there. He is going to be great if healthy.
He's pigeon-toed so his walk/run reminds me of a big polar bear. Didn't see him hobbling though.
With Roby & Barnett back, you saw a completely different D line today. Huge.
I so want to see these guys maul Cal's O line and chase that freshman quarterback all over the place next week!
Should be plenty of opportunities for our DBs to make plays... that QB for Cal has gone over 400 yards passing each of the first two games.
I can't see a freshman QB putting up 300 against Roby and company. And their defense gave up 30 to Portland State. Put me firmly in the not worried about Cal camp.
Hopefully they can get to their QB... Cal's air raid offense kind of worries me a little bit about not having enough time to sack him/get some TFL's...
Not worried about Cal anymore, am worried about that hydra Wisky has at the tailback slot. Holy smokes.
It was against UMass, and Tennessee tech.
It was still somewhat impressive. I'm not worried but they can definitely run the ball.
I can't be impressed by any team that beats UMass. UMass only scored one TD on Indiana's defense. Do you realize how bad you have to be to score only once against Indiana? :/
How impressed are you with the cupcakes we are dominating ( in the 1st half anyway)?
I just eat cupcakes. Dominating seems unnecessary.
I like what i've seen with Ohio State. There are things they need to work on, but I still believe they're the best team in the conference.
When in the 1st quarter? Rewatched the game and couldn't tell if he was in ever. Must have been first series (all 3 plays of it).
