Buckeye Brethren, I NEED your input. I no longer live in OH....because of location and distance and frankly cost, it's much easier for me to get to OSU away games. This year however is a perfect storm as we play @NW, @Pur and @Ill. All are well within striking distance of where I live. And because NW and Purdue will be B1G West opponents they won't be hosting us again for a while. So here's my question. Do I choose quantity or quality? I can't choose both.
Part of me reeeeeaallly wants to go to the NW game bc, face it, it's a night game, in chicago, vs a quality opponent. Tickets are way more affordable than an equivalent matchup in the shoe, but they're still not cheap, and it would necessitate me having to grab a hotel too. Or, I could get tics to BOTH @purdue and @Ill for 1/3 the cost of what NW will run me. As you know, Purdue shouldn't be a tough game but how many years has it been since we won in west lafayette? Ditto for Ill. For some reason we always seem to struggle in the swirling winds of champaigne/urbana. Both have the potential to be blowouts or nail biters. Those games are november too so....weather could be a factor. Do I fork out the extra $$ for on paper what should be a more exciting game, or, take the lesser experience but double my buckeye viewing pleasure? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
