So obviously I don't watch enough University of Nevada-Las Vegas football, because I had not noticed - prior to last night's thriller in Minneapolis - that the Rebels' official colors are actually scarlet and grey. We've talked a lot about uniforms here during the offseason, and I was really taken aback by how much the UNLV whites looked like they were discards from OSU's closet. Take a look:
Okay, so maybe it's easier to see things that aren't there with the away whites... What about the home jerseys, though?
In terms of the colors themselves, there are slight differences, especially in the two versions of scarlet. UNLV's version looks a little duskier, perhaps. The grays are close, but not exact (except in RGB terms - the Pantones, however, are different).
Think I'm crazy? Looks like I'm not the only one to see the OSU imaging in the latest iteration of the Rebels' wardrobe. Okay, discuss.
