PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Lots of exciting games on tap for tonight!
I'm rooting for Clemson, TCU, and NW! How about you?
I'm doing well. This Nebraska v. Wyoming game is quite fun early. It's on BTN. 7-3 Wyoming.
anyone know if Raekwon is at Clemson tonight?
I really hope not. It looks like it's electric there
edit: Just checked and he is.......fuck
Don't forget the SDSU game. They're up 10-7 against Tony Romo's alma mater, Eastern Illinois. 3 scores in the first 6 minutes of the game.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
What channel is that on? Always good to scout some future opponents.
It's not on anywhere; I'm just following it on the ESPN.com tracker thingie. They seem to be moving the ball OK (now 13-7), but consider the opponent.
Sean McDonough just got done telling Chris Spielman that the 2012 Buckeyes didn't impress him much. So not only a jackass, but a brave one.
it's early but Clemson looks like the real deal. Tahj Boyd and Sammy Watkins remind me of Troy and Teddy in 06. How good their defense is remains to be seen however
How good their defense is remains to be seen however

Early reports: Not very. Not very.
Kinda random but Eastern Washington is leading #25 Oregon St. 43-39 midway through the 4th quarter.
Be thankful we are not this particular OSU today
Now it's 46-43 Beavers but EWU is knocking on the door again. EWU being FCS, needless to say Oregon State, win or lose, falls out of the top 25.
Class of 2010.
Good grief, this Nebraska game is interesting. Wyoming is playing well, and then Amir Abdula pulls out a huge run, and now it's 16-14. Fun game to watch if you're not into Clemson v. Georgia.
Rooting for me to stay up for the NW game.
In other news, Cal RB Brendan Bigelow is still fast.
Anyone not watching this Clemson UGA game is missing a hell of a football game.
Cal and NW tied at 7. Looks like Cal gives 0 fucks and just runs random plays
If their AD has any brains, Dykes is on a long leash. It's his first game as HC after a terrible season. They should give zero fucks and build their system. Anything over .500 is gravy for them this year.
This Cal-NU game features two of OSU's early-season opponents. Think I'll be watching that. I want to see NU go 12-2 with losses to the Buckeyes in Evanston and Indy and with a Rose Bowl win.
Right on cue, long TD run for NU. Go Wildcats!
Same here regarding Clemson, TCU and NW. Nebraska now pulling away from Wyoming. I'm watching NW at Cal. Seven all but expecting a lot more scoring before it's over.
Clemson is going to be a pain in the ass all season in the polls if they hold on here. Three really big games mixed among a lot of cupcakes is a pretty good schedule to build a national title resume.
In "next week's opponent" news, the partially-recruited-by-Brady-Hoke San Diego St. is losing at home to Eastern Illinois 33-19. There's nothing in recent E. Illinois history that shows how they could hold a Mountain West team to under 50 points, let alone win, so either the Aztecs are looking way ahead, or they're terrible.
BTW, Washington 10, Boise St. 0 in the second quarter, currently on Fox Sports One. For people who have been waiting for Washington to someday resume a position among national powers, this could be a milestone game.
Agreed on Clemson. Schedule is really light now until S Carolina.
Nebraska is up 3 with the ball with 1:32 left. Wyoming has all 3 time outs
wyoming has a chance 1:07 left 1 timeout
I get the sense this is a really important minute in the career of Bo Pelini coming up.
+ / - on when this Nebraska D gets him fired?
Wyoming had 600 yards in total offense, and less than 25 minutes of possession. That's just unbelievable.
A win is a win, I guess.
Better than Bill Callahan isn't good enough. Nine wins a year isn't good enough, just ask Frank Solich. Not looking good for Bo.
They're pretty far removed from the days of Osborne at this point. They'd better quietly explore the market before pulling the trigger on firing Bo - the job may not be what it used to be. Remember when Michigan was sure they'd get Harbaugh, and Les Miles was the backup plan? Hoke may yet bring them back to Carr-era "glory", but we know how he ended up with the job.
Clemson v UGA has been a damn good ball game! I can see UGA losing 3 or 4 games this season and, if that happens, it underline how scheduling can really shift things.
That's ball game! Not a good onside kick.
Nebraska almost really screwed the pooch tonight. Gave up over 500 yards of offense to freakin' Wyoming. I liked either MSU or Nebraska in the Legends, but Michigan might power through that division in spite of facing a tougher schedule.
Nebraska used up all the skin on their teeth in week 1. Hoping Gary Patterson and his horn frogs pulls off some magic against LSU.
TCU will need a TO or two to get back in the game.
Unbelievably smart play by a clemson player on that punt!
Did anyone see that Bigelow run? It got called back but literally did a summersault and kept going.
Got a game now with LSU and TCU.
And hey, how bout the addition of Shannon Spake to the sideline.
An excellent recruit, that one.
Seeing all these autograph and money gestures from Manziel (during replay at halftime of NU-Cal game), not to mention the un-sportsman like conduct penalty - am I the only one who thinks SEC defenses will make it a matter of pride to physically destroy him this year? I think he'll be a non-factor for the Heisman. The mantra was already going to be "don't let Manziel beat you", and now he's proved himself to be an entitled jackass. Makes me think of Ryan Leaf, actually. Whatever happened to that guy ...
TD LSU. I think I'll pass out now. String effort for week 1.
Watching the NW - Cal game.
Cal is not going to be a walkthrough, they are legit once again this year, and giving NW all they can take @CAL.
I'm also watching. Their defense doesn't look that great but their offense will give us it's fair share of problems
Huge pick 6 for NW. Looked like cal had all the momentum
Cal has to be the quietest stadium I've ever heard.
Our Honor Defend!
NW isn't going to have a team left at this rate
Northwestern needs a long sustained drive to give their defense a break
Wow, the first ejection I've seen (as opposed to heard of) under the new rule. This might go against the grain, but I like the rule. The alternative is a not-so-slow death of football. When you have football players saying "I don't want my kid playing football" - that says it all.
