PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
hahaha I love the NCAA getting called out on their stupidity several times in the past month and watching them crumble repeatedly on each case.
I'm very excited for this Marine, though. Congrats to him.
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
Common sense triumphs!
Someone here is a fan of the NCAA and their rules. LOL
Total backtracking-tail between their legs--PR move. There was no need for a "decision" here. The only thing the NCAA did was royally screw up the original decision to bar him from playing. Their "decision" to undo that does not deserve the internal reach-arounds they seem to be giving each other.
In the end, I'm very happy he gets to play right away, but, still, fuck you NCAA.
Simper fi Way to go and good luck Brother do the Corp proud.
Wait I didn't mean to down vote your comment. I am sorry. This old paratrooper would never down vote that comment on purpose. Can't be real smart to jump outta aircraft still flying. That is my excuse.
i see they did remove their foot from their collective asses. Good for them. now make a ruling for johnny football then we can move on with our lives. you know like back to hating arod, michigan, saban, mark May and the sec
Head from their asses, perhaps?
i mean anything large in their asses is going to hurt so if shaq's foot was in the NCAA hypothetical ass id like to think that would hurt more than a head.
medically well-played, doc.
explains the lack of oxygen to their collective brains
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
Watch him still end up redshirting this year.
It took those dipshits that long to figure this out?
The US government must have pimp smacked Emmert.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
The U.S. Government needs to dig a hole and put him in it.
I'm sure he's trying to figure out a way to sanction them.
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll screw up the investigation.
Really glad to here that. I guess someone at the NCAA has a functioning brain. Who Knew?
I actually live here in Murfreesboro and I am an alum of MTSU. This has been a big story here in town and is a major win for Rhodes, MTSU, and everyone in college athletics. The NCAA continually shows how out of touch it is. I'm glad they finally used some common sense and changed their ruling.
In Marine (or Army) speak, the NCAA is a gigantic "Charley Foxtrot" - CF - cluster f*#k!
Makes you wonder if the NCAA did this because they wanted to do the right thing or if they were pressured into doing the right thing.
Toledo - Ohio's right armpit
"A troll by any other name is still a troll".
No wondering here, if they wanted to do the right thing they would have from the get-go.
Good for the Marine, the correct decision was made in the end.
Screw the NCAA and Mark Emmert.
THEY GOT IT RIGHT!
Good to see MTSU getting a little national pub and love.
It's sad that it took national outrage to get this rectified. Nothing more than a PR move for the NCAA to save face. Really happy for our Marine to get a fair shake, but still, screw the NCAA.
Go Marines. Go Bucks.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
The U of SEC will now be recruiting the US Military.
