PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
He did not report to camp yet? Anyone have any inside info?
No inside info but 11W is saying that he will be there when school starts. I thought he had to get his test scores up to get into school which probably delayed his enrollment. This is purely speculation but it is the only other news I've heard about him.
You're right 439. He didn't get the ACT score he needed in time to enroll this summer. He'll be ready to go come Fall semester.
He will be fine as soon as he starts "college" classes. There is a football curriculum dumbed down to the point, all you have to do is show up for most of your classes and you get the required grades to play.
This does not mean all football players take this Mickey Mouse route. There are quite a few that really want an education and attend normal classes and actually graduate with a degree that has meaning. I would love to see more student/athletes and the majority of recent recruits reflect that honor.
"Your mom goes to college"
Here is to wishing him a speedy return to the team.
I seem to remember Jermle Hines doing something similar but I thought he got to practice in fall camp and then sit out until fall semester started
Tough to miss Fall camp for both Munger and Baugh. Remember Urban stated Spring sets the depth chart and fall is time to get game ready, players really need to step up to overtake starters in fall camp.
I think Baugh's practicing, saw him getting yelled at, and doing some blocking drills #85. Though it was summer scholly, camp and first game but could be mistaken.
He will probably red shirt. Not all that bad, just needs to work hard and come back for his next freshman season
This time is so crucial for these guys though. Even the guys that redshirt are getting to practice in the fall, in the biggest time for development. Urban likes to point out that you don't get a whole lot of practice time during the week in season, so if guys are missing fall camp, they're even far behind the other redshirt guys.
Though the line could use the depth, a RS would probably benefit Munger the most....on and off the field.

While Munger was cleared academically to play, he has not been cleared medically to play. He will sit out the 2013 season with a medical redshirt.
I know the article says medical redshirt, but I thought you could only take one after a regular redshirt. Can anyone clarify?
I hope he recovers fully from this. Interesting medical condition, though.
Really feel for the kid. Hope he gets through this alright and recovers well. These things can be really tricky. Good luck to Donovan.
That's some serious stuff hope he recovers properly. I was friends with Ivan Dougles when I was at OSU and he had serious issues with blood clots in his lungs that caused him to miss the rest of his career at tOSU and the NFL. Wish Donovan all the best. Keep getting healthy!
I remember him being a pleasant surprise to last years class. Wish him a speedy recovery.
