PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
coach vrabel tweeted this and im not sure what it means??? :/
3 days till they ring the bell to open fall camp?
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
Think it's just some reference to camp opening on Sunday.
Looks like the Liberty Bell. Is Vrabel in Philadelphia with his family?
Two blondes were driving to Disneyland. The sign said: Disneyland Left... So they started crying and headed home.
It's the opening bell....
*cue the Rocky theme*

Call me crazy, but I think Spence and Washington are going to have two of the biggest years D-linemen have had here in recent memory.
We will also be ringing the bells of our opponents.
Haha. First post ive ever wanted to up and downvote at the same time! Well done sir.
I agree that Spence and Washington will definitely be ringing some bells this season. Somebody will be seeing Tweety birds for sure.
“I have yet to be in a game where luck was involved. Well-prepared players make plays. I have yet to be in a game where the most prepared team didn't win.” -Urban Meyer-
Spence + Washington + Shazier = A cataclysmic event...can't wait!! Go Bucks!!
D-line getting a sack = ringing the bell. It will happen in camp.
Bet you can't say "Bert Bielma is a bumbling buffoon" five times fast.
Take it to an even deeper level: we'll officially be liberated from the shackles of the NCAA's heinous post-season ban. As the Liberty Bell rang to sound our independence from the tyranny of English rule, so too shall our team ring the bell in token of being free to win the national championship next January (in truth, they didn't actually ring the bell on 4 July 1776 - that's just the legend).
Just think of Mark Emmert as George III, and it'll all be clear.
The tower on the SE corner of the stadium has bells that toll after each OSU football victory. If you are ever in the stadium for a game and stay for the complete end, and we win, you will hear the bells tolling. Every player know this because they can actually hear them in the locker room (it is located in that corner of the stadium). More reason to stay through the singing of Carmen!!!!
Of course, he is saying 3 days instead of 30 days, so your guess is as good as mine!!
Is this what it has come to?
Thought I read something about imminent exciting news coming whenever one of our coaches uses that hash tag. Who has been his primary target recently?
Jordan seems to think we should be on gray box watch...
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
"Ring the bell" has been a phrase that some of the staff uses for good news, whether it be the start of practice or a commitment. Practice starts Sunday and I'm (okay, basically everyone is) expecting Noah Brown to commit soon.
Any time a staff member tweets "ring the bell" it is a good sign for something.
Talk about timing
I thought I read somewhere that for the D-line in particular, the sack or TFL celebration was "ringing the bell". I think that's why he specified OSU D-Line in the tweet. Washington and Spence were doing it after sacks in the spring game.
I think it's just a term that basically means good things. I've seen a lot of different coaches at different schools using it. The coaches were also using it back around Signing Day when they were teasing fans. Ring the Bell was a popular phrase during Vonn Bell's recruitment, if I recall correctly. Basically, it has tons of meanings. All are good though.
A little while back Vrabel quoted a tweet about this article with #RingTheBell
In my younger years I worked in sales, and we literally had a bell in the bullpen that you were supposed to ring whenever you made a sale... I think that probably happens in many sales-related industries, because I don't think my boss just made it up himself, so "ringing the bell" as a sign of something momentous happening in recruiting is probably just like making a sale, in that sense.
