PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Anyone enjoying the double feature? Can they maybe do this every Saturday for the next (6) weeks as an appetizer until the season gets here?
During the course of my Sunday house cleaning I was watching these two games. A couple things stood out. Krenzel had a bad game in the NC, but made some great plays that made up for it.
It was cool to see the difference in the two squads, the '03 team was excellent on defense, had a solid running attack and had great possession WR play from Jenkins. The '06 team was loaded on offense. The "Game of the Century" is always fun to re-hash. Troy had so many weapons on the outside and the RBs (Pittman and Wells) really complimented the passing attack well. Tressell called a great game. It was a fantastic game.
The pass interference call in the NC game still makes me shiver. I hate Danielson (?) for his call ..."that's a bad call" Jackson tried to keep it unbiased but you could tell he (Danielson) didn't agree with the call. Such a gutsy win. I'm glad that game, which was one of the most exciting NC games ever, ended up in our favor

That was actually Dan Fouts with the commentary in the NC game. I remembered thinking at the time that he was letting his friendship with the Winslow family affect his professionalism in that game.
No offense @Buckeyeboyer85, but how could you not know that was Dan Fouts? His voice alone sends shivers down my spine. One of the all-time worst announcers on any level.
It just slipped my mind and I didn't care to look it up. Honestly I never really pay to much attention to the color commentators. Thanks for the correction though.
Krenzel had a bad game? He was our leading rusher with 80+ yards and took a bearing doing it. He was our offensive MVP by a long shot. Gutty performance.
He made throws that needed to be made, as well as the runs. Not to knock Ken Dorsey, but Krenzel took his fair share of hits as well.
