Now I am seriously a homer and think that all the positions for OSU should be top 10 outside of WR, LB and Dline (which I justify that they are young and talented but not yet established),
but how in the world can anyone not have the buckeyes running back group in the top 5. The team itself finished in the top 5 rushing for the whole NCAA and lost no players. Now I know Braxton has a lot to do with it but still the running backs at OSU are very good!
On top of it, he puts Wisconsin at #5. They just lost Ball and even though White is good, I doubt he is more established than Hyde at the moment. This just blew my mind that someone could not look at this group of running backs and not think they are one of the top 5 in the nation. Hyde will be a 1,000 yard rusher, Rod Smith is a starter in waiting who will probably end up with close to 500 yards rushing. Then there is Dunn and Ball with Eze coming in.
I don't make big deals about preseason rankings and all but this one struck a nerve!
and his basis on putting Alabama #2 with only TJ Yeldon listed, because he is possibly a first round draft pick and Lacy was a second round pick just this past draft. HUH? I might take Yeldon over Hyde straight up (not totally sure about that though) but there is no way that Bama's depth with experience trumps OSU's. NO WAY!!
