I came across this article in the washington post, the interesting points are that it is interesting to see how ohio state is viewed by maryland fans (a combination of fear and respect) and how much they hate their own coach. The comments are golden.

Nothing like seeing the upcoming B1G schedule to bring out the haters. All this "0-10" and "Fire Edsall" crap has got to go!
Look, is it going to be easy? No, but that's what we've signed up for. This is part of being in the B1G. Did you really think we were going to avoid teams like Michigan, Ohio St, and Penn St? Yes, we don't have Duke and Wake to beat up on anymore, but if Maryland wants any shot of becoming big player in college football, you have to play with the big boys.
For those of you who can't remember Maryland BF (Before Fridge), we had to handle Florida State every year. When the Noles first came into the conference, they used to whip us. Badly. I heard Danny Kannell once describe playing the Terps as a "practice game" for them. But then, they used to run roughshod over everyone in the conference for a while. Now, with the exception of the last 2 seasons, it's fair to say that the Terps could play evenly with the Noles and that beating them would not be that huge of an upset.
The point I'm making is that by switching to a different conference, we can raise the level of expectations every year by playing the Buckeyes, wolverines, nittany lions, and yes, scarlet knights every year. And judging by the level of recruiting going on now at Maryland, it's showing. Kids are excited about playing against higher level teams. Fans get juiced about watching higher level teams, too. I trust that Ohio State will bring more fans than Boston College ever did (and I welcome it, because, visitors or not, revenue is revenue).
So I'm willing to give it a try. I'm a proud alum and I stick by my school, good years and bad. But I have a feeling this might be fun...
