I will preface this Forum with stating the obvious, I am fully aware of the depth and prestige of the recent Tide recruiting classes. My point here is this year's Tide key departures are more significant than the previous year their first of the tide's back to back NC. My point is the Pundits will undoubtedly call into question our recent key departures Simon, et al etc. and diminish our chances for a NC. Here is a look at the quality Bama lost.
Offense: OL D.J. Fluker All American 1st Round (11th pick Chargers).
TE Michael Williams 7th Round (211th Overall Lions)
OL Chance Warmack All American 1st Round (10th pick Titans)
OL Barrett Jones All American 4th Round (113th Rams)
K Jeremy Shelley last season perfect xp's and fg attempts although short range option ( Undrafted Falcons Rookie Camp)
RB Eddie Lacy First Team All SEC 2nd Round (61st pick Packers)
DL Jesse Williams 5th Round Pick (137th pick Seahawks) Extremely Underrated should of been drafted higher.
DL Damion Square Undrafted UFA (Eagles)
DE Quinton Dial Round 5 (Pick 157 49ers) best known for this hit on Aaron Murray in SEC Championship.
LB Nico Johnson (Round 4 Chiefs)
S Robert Lester Second Team All SEC (UFA Panthers)
CB Dee Milner Unanimous All American 1st Round (9th pick Jets)
Yes our Bucks lost a large portion of our front seven and quality players. Bama lost essentially their entire O-Line minus Kouandjo. It is one thing to say BAMA has depth and quality recruits its another to say Bama will easily replace two 1st Round NFL draft picks and Barrett Jones who was basically played any OL position when needed injury etc. Also a knock on Bama has been their secondary now they have to deal with the loss of their Roby in Milner. Also Sunseri is a joke.
Just my take guys, I'm not as scarred of BAMA as I would of been last year. I look forward to your quality insight as always.
