PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
What are your thoughts about the spring game, or what do you hope/need to see out of this team to have a good feeling going into the summer?
I just want everyone to get through it healthy, especially the OL with Underwood out and the rumors someone else is about to transfer out. I would not be surprised if Brax, Hyde and RDS play but are limited as to avoid any injuries.
"Sherman ran an option play right through the south" - Greatest Civil War analogy EVER.
I echo was IBS&G said but I will also add that I am interested to see how Hull is used. Last year we didn't really have anyone to play the 'pivot' roll and so while our offense was very good that aspect was still missing. It'll be interesting to see how that role is used.
On the other side of the ball it is linebacker linebacker and linebacker. Who is going to step up to make plays. I also am excited to see if Spence is as unblockable as people have said.
I agree - all about the linebackers. Other than RDS, who is going to get the most reps with the 1's, etc.?
Rod Smith will fumble????? NO WAY, I'm not buying it!
We don't have to see anything at all during the spring game. I honestly can't remember the last time the spring game had any effect on the actual season other than an injury.
Bold Prediction/Hope: Grant has 10+ Tackles & TFL/sack & forces a turnover.
Obviously no injuries...
And a clean game, limited mistakes and good solid tackling
Other than that I want to see a bunch of guys running around and playing with passion....
I am excited to see how the young guys on defense do. Also I would love to see Cardale play well. Lastly, I really want to see the young RBs. People have been saying that Warren Ball has been the most impressive of the bunch (after Hyde). As someone mentioned above some of the upperclassmen might be held out a bit (like Simon last year), hopefully that means Cardale and Ball and Dunn get a lot of touches.
I would also like to see a healthy Jordan Hall, just to learn more about how they are planning on using him next year.
same as every year.......NO INJURIES PLEASE
What are the chances of this game selling out? I live in Cincy and I will be going
I'm curious to see how the defense plays as whole, specifically the play of Grant & the young linebacker's, how the safeties tackle and if they've improved at pass defense, who between Doran Grant & Eli Apple steps up as the other starter at CB.
Offensively, I'm eager to see the new improved throwing mechanics from Braxton, and the play of Brionte & Warren.
Lastly, no major injuries!
I predict I will be drunk on Hudy Delight and Skyline dip.
Cant think of a better idea
I predict OSU will win.
I predict I will have a crappy day because I am not able to go!
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
Right there with ya, I'll be at a wedding IN CINCINNATI. So close but so far away
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
My hope is that the weather is decent. It looks like this week it's finally going to be warm in the 60's and up to 70, but they are showing rain on Sunday-Thursday.
I predict Kyle Berger will see and hear firsthand Urban's (and other coaches, for that matter) intensity and commit to being a Buckeye this weekend. He chose to come to our spring game over UM's.
I predict Hoke will eat himself into a COMA after reading his OSU Spring Game scouting report.
I predict a great game with loads of talent stepping into the spotlight. Then, it's shenanigans for the remainder of the weekend.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I just hope it's a decent day. I've been to every spring game for a long time now and it can either be an amazingly nice day, or like the last 2 years where it's overcast/rainy/windy/cold.
The postgame show is brought to you by... Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it...
I just want no injuries and to see our buckeyes shine as this will be my first spring game!
I predict that not only will I be drunk while there, but that Ohio State will undoubtedly win the game.
