So I am sitting here, reading the Wall Street Journal because my comcast has been crapping out the past two weeks, and I come across an interesting little blurb on the back of the last page in the WSJ labeled: The Count. It talked about how quarterbacks did passing and production in comparison to their salaries, and Tebow's numbers were unbelievable. The numbers are as follows, from the WSJ:
QB/Team $ per passing yard in 2012
Tebow NYJ 53,846
Rivers SD 4,242
Bradford STL 4,186
Manning DEN 3,863
Brady NE 3,729
Sanchez NYJ 2,705
Manning NYG 2,431
Brees NO 2,008
McElroy NYJ 1,898
Wilson SEA 174 (yes, $174 per passing yard)

Just think about those numbers for a second. Close to 54,000 dollars per passing yard. That is a monumental fail when you look at it in terms of that. On the flip side, look at Seattle. That is a monumental success, but do not expect Seattle to see that figure in the future if Wilson continues to grow as a QB. CONTRACT RENEGOTIATIONS!!!!.
Just thought I would share. Really caught me by surprise.
