what did Ohio State do to get sanctioned, again?
the above link is based on this:
Whenever I see these types of things my immediate reaction is to hope that it isn't going on at OSU. I have little doubt that every school has dirty laundry of one sort or another. But I just hope that OSU is as clean as is humanly possible, especially after the last couple years.
If it wasn't the past two years it would have been found have been under a microscope for something that seems trivial with all these other allegations coming out.
Anyone else notice that Muschamp's name being dragged into these allegations?

yup...naturally he denies it...
He didn't do a thing, it was the Big, Bad University. Funny, it seems only players that have a sore spot for their University are the ones crying foul.
I also have to laugh about the Darvin Adams statement. Yeah, the NFL scouts are too lazy to analyze talent and rely just on reports from his team. Newflash..the Raiders would take ANYONE regardless of their off-field issues.
Well you also aren't going to "bite the hand the feeds you" so to speak against a school that is helping you out if you are a player. While its nice to think everyone would have the scruples to call out their program for a violation it doesn't happen, basically ever.
And a coaching evaluation is highly looked at by NFL teams. While a kid might have off the field issues if their coach backs them then a team is more likely going to take a chance on them. If they have issues and their coach bad mouths them out of spite or revenge then an NFL team is far less likely to draft them.

Let's be honest... Auburn paid for Newton's services and we all knew it. Therefore, I believe this article and what these kids are saying. Every institution is corrupt in some way and Auburn is being called out.
The funny thing is Chizik now works for ESPN. So, chances of any television coverage of this is pretty much nil.
It is being covered on SportsCenter. This could get interesting as the story develops. However, wasn't there a story on HBO's Real Sports a couple years back where former Auburn players admitted being paid yet nothing happened?
And you wonder if the rumors that one of the reasons Urban left Florida was the crap going on in the SEC have some truth to them-this could be exhibit A.
I'm not saying I don't believe the story, cause I totally think there is a lot of stuff going on at most of the top programs, especially in the SEC, but all of the guys quoted in the story seem to have an ax to grind with Auburn. They all kinda seem like they are angry with Auburn or feel like Auburn coaches have done them wrong. I just wonder about their credibility.
Thank you. My point exactly.

Let's not forget the guys who DON'T have an axe to grind - lest we forget while ESPiN was trying to bury OSU alive in all their spite - HBO ran that piece on REAL SPORTS that exposed several big name schools (including Ohio State) & here's the local coverage of it:
This story is bogus. being debunked by many people. We can all put our pitchforks away.

Well we all know what OSU did and NCAA hit us with sanctions.
I doubt anything will come of this. My thought is that it is a spin off of what came out a few years ago.. They already investigated Cam and found nothing wrong. I doubt they go back and find something now...
Because that would mean the NCAA is not perfect
If the NCAA has a backbone and takes Auburn down (assuming at least some of this is true), I could see this being a domino with many of the other SEC programs. Meyer has hinted at the bad practices that went on in recruiting, in the SEC, and in college football while he was at Florida and with the sudden upsurge in recruits going to places like Ole Miss, it may finally be the time our friends from the south get whats coming to them
