...much to my dismay. I think this was bound to happen but some part of me held out hope that he would just disappear in retirement. The worst part is that he will probably actually be good at it.

He was on the sportscenter I watched today.... and trust me he will not be a good broadcaster.
Well, that makes me feel a little better about it.
Any time he shows up on my TV he will receive an obligatory mute at the very least. If not a channel change.

Hopefully ESPN's health plan covers stabbings.
And dry cleaning (blood stained white suits) is free!
They may have off site guest appearances by OJ before the football season starts. The new normal.
kvs
Thought he'd be a NFL network guy, joining up with Irvin and Sapp. You know, other stand up guys from the U.

Ya, I worry he's going to be exactly what everyone thinks he's going to be. Players on the Ravens have come out and said half the time they had no idea what he was saying when he'd get all RayRay on people....I assume it'll be the same in the booth. A guy like Spielman applies a football player's perspective with some passion but does a good job of being professional in the booth. I'm not sold Lewis will be anything more than loud and annoying.
Love the dude as a player but I'm more upset he just won't go away.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
yes...I love Spielman. Still think he'd make a heckuva LB's coach!

Was he wearing a white suit?

They couldn't find that, remember?..also this makes it real easy going forward....no more ESPN NFL games for me......................I'll be damned if I'm going to support a product that supports a murderer
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
But you watched the NFL????

Remember his words (such as they were) for the family of the stabbing victim during his interview before the Super Bowl? Does not seem like a bright or articulate guy at all, but I'm sure ESPN doesn't care about that.
If they were smart, they'd just put him on a show with Berman and let the two of them go back and forth spouting inane catchphrases- I'm sure it'd be a big hit.
The postgame show is brought to you by... Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it...
Murderer.
You can mark this down as the least shocking news of the offseason. The network swooning over Ray on his farewell tour last year was legendary. He was definitely going to get a shot as a TV personality. After the newness wears off, he'll have to be good or go home, but we'll all have to endure until then.
I saw him as more as a position coach rather than a broadcaster. I don't hate the guy like everyone else does!
Dont hate guys...I bet he kills it
If Denard Robinson isn't careful with spooning all that food into his mouth, he's going to end up lookin' like Whoopi Goldberg

I cannot stand Ray and his whole "I'm blessed and god wanted me to keep playing these last couple years ..."....yes god really cares about your football career, but he doesn't care, or is hands-off when it comes to small kids getting killed in school massacres and babies being born with Aids in Africa. He really has delusions of grandeur.

Really see NFL Analyst Ray-Ray as the second coming of NFL Analyst Emmitt Smith.

He should join the ESPN 360 crew and headline any piece involving an athlete and murder. He'll offer great perspective on that. Murderer.

I hope he wears the missing blood stained white suit on his first day.

Leave it to the ultimate liberal network to give these clowns analyst jobs.
Next on the list: T.O, Chad Johnson, Rex Ryan, Bart Scott...

Please keep politics out of here!!
Didn't that ultimate liberal network hire Rush Limbaugh?
I guess I don't get the reference, what makes espn a liberal network? And why is that relevant here?
Even Matt Millen thinks this is a terrible hire.
I was hoping he'd just disappear in a prison cell.
