Received notification that season ticket renewals are now available to pay. Here's the official breakdown:
2013 Football Season Tickets (2): $1198 (average $85.57 per ticket per home game)
2013 Football Processing Fee: $30
Away Games (per ticket) from OSU Athletic Dept:
California: $72
Northwestern: $77
Purdue: $62
Illinois: $67
TTUN: $102

The processing fee is classic.
The face value of tickets went up 13%. Having not done my math on this yet, how doesn't compare here. I made the complaint to Buckeye Club that although steep, I don't mind an occasional price increase. I do however have a big problem with accounting for this premium game increase crap. That is exactly what a season ticket holder should be protected against. They should be embarrassed by the home schedule this year anyway.
I've decided to save my freaking out for when/if they raise the donor levels for Buckeye/Pesident's Club. I have a feeling that will be coming in 2014.

Already heard Presidents Club and Buckeye Club Big 10 Champion levels are going up to 3K so have to think so. My principle tells me to drop it. Problems they create my drug of choice.
Just ran some numbers. New prices on season tickets account for the regular increase, plus the premium game difference. Bullshit. They are getting really greedy.
Fans think it's greedy, athletics thinks it's a good business move. They'll sell the ticket either way, so why not adopt the tiered structure? It's existed in European soccer for awhile. I don't blame them for trying to bring in more revenue; athletics is a business.
They've openly stated they don't care. Not being so openly arrogant about it would be nice. I'm also an alum and paid full as a lifetime member. There's no discount or point advantage to being so. These memberships and tickets are available to anyone with a buck. I'd also then rather they not talk about the tradition and insult people when it's about the dollar.
I don't even have enough money for one ticket... Let alone a season's worth :(
That's what buying a house, car, wedding and honeymoon in a few months will do to you.
Atta boy. Wait til kids!
I'm a PC donor and they aren't even offering me the opportunity to buy any of the away games despite gouging on this ridiculous home schedule.
