It all seems unsubstantiated at this point. Devastating to the LSU program would be an understatement if it becomes reality.

It will come to light that Les Miles started these rumors himself in order to get a raise from his wife.

At least one LSU insider has said there is no truth to the rumor regarding Les Miles. Take it for what it's worth.

Remember the pic of Urban with the quote "They see me recruitin', they hatin"? Replace recruitin' with...yeah...and you got Les Miles if this rumor is true.

Well............ according to some of my friends who went to TTUN, there's has also been a long standing rumor that this type of activity is why he was not offered as Head Coach at UofM, and never will be......

that's what I thought now considering it's coming from twitter and not a source like someone from yahoo sports, cbs/nbc sports. or the mothership. As an outsider looking in I'm going to say its just a rumor started on twitter. As a buckeye fan I hope to god it is true because nothing would make my Monday than having an sec power school losing their head coach.

Hopefully it isn't true. I can just see one of the few talented B1G coaches being snatched up in a heartbeat to coach down there, ain't nobody got time for that. The B1G needs all the competent coaches it can get.

I think the more likely result, if its true, is Michigan hiring Miles in a few years when they fire Hoke.

this makes total sense. dantonio has already accepted the LSU job and just didn't feel like interviewing OC's at state before he left - THAT explains the bollman hire.

I honestly think Les Miles has success because of the incredible talent that LSU attracts and not so much because of his coaching. I've seen too many games where he "coached" them to a loss when they most certainly should of won the game. It could be a blessing for LSU if he does leave. That's a HUGE job and it'd be very easy for a good coach to slide in there and win immediately.

I don't entirely disagree. But how do you explain where all of that talent was prior to Saban's hiring? In what was it, '99 or 2000? Prior to that they didn't do anything.

Sometimes programs just don't have the right culture. It's possible that the talent they had either was not being developed or was going elsewhere before saban made them realize exactly how good they could be

I have a number of LSU friends and happened to be hanging out with them this evening when I heard about this. They said that while they were in school rumors like this floated around. Perhaps nothing new in terms of ridiculous rumors...or it's been going on a long time and never yet caught up to him.

I can't subscribe to this rumor. If Lesticles had an affair AFTER what happened with Arkansas and Petrino, he would be an absolute idiot. He might be an idiot (eats grass, is a Michigan product, and so on) but an absolute idiot...not yet.
