Umm that was weird. RDS is still small. They might be listing him at 230 but there is no way. Dude is a baller and I think he proves that size isn't the only thing but he looks no bigger than 210.
Also don't forget about Perry who isn't in the picture but is a freak and has added a lot of good weight since last year.

Let's see, Supposedly RDS can run in like the 4.4's. We know Mike Mitchell runs a 4.3 and supposedly Perkins has been clocked in the 4.3's as well.
If Perk and Mitchell both take starting positions, that has to be the fastest linebacking crew ever.

I believe it is possible. First of all, kind of hard to really tell with the way he is posing and secondly, I'm 6'2'' and 215 and I look like I am stick and bones outside of a bit of a gut. I don't have half the muscle Shazier has and he is 6'2'' just like me.
I believe Shazier is 230. I don't believe Grant is 235. That guy has to be pushing 250 right there. and there is no way David Perkins is still 220. He has to be like 235 or more.
Not to mention, 230 is the listed weight but that could be his max weight. Probably hovers around 215-220 most of the time.
Here's the thing. There is no doubt in my mind RDS is packing at least a 10 lb dong, and that doesn't show up in the shirtless photos as quality weight. Dude is 225 at least.
Don't suppose anyone has a picture from a year ago to compare how far these guys have progressed physically? Quite far obviously but would be cool to see it.
Playing LB isn't a bodybuilding competition. It's about diagnosing plays, taking good angles, and shedding blocks.
Yeah, and you also don't see small dudes playing the LB position at the D1 level or in the NFL. C'mon dude; you gotta be a grown ass man to play that position at this level. And you better sure as hell train like a madman! That means hitting the weight room hard and focusing on quickness at the same time. Deadly combination with the right trainer and plenty of motivation. Damn, I miss playin' ball....

RDS was an athletic freak from the start of the season. But he didn't take off into stardom until he started taking better angles mid season. I'm not saying being strong and fast isn't important, but if that was the only criteria, everyone would be a star and Teo would suck.

If Grant wants to start at MLB and keep the position, should he really be that big? Wasn't an issue with him last year not reacting and closing quickly? Wasn't he slow on coverages? You would think they would make him lose 10 lbs to add some quickness and still keep his strength
