The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that former Buckeye linebacker Andy Katzenmoyer has been arrested for violating a protective order. While the published details were originally few and far between, it appears he's being charged with violating a temporary protection order obtained by his ex-wife.
According to the report, his ex-wife Ashleigh Quint requested the order on Monday in Franklin County Domestic Relations Court.
Katzenmoyer went to Quint’s Trabue Road home on Tuesday “to pick up their daughter and filed an interference with custody report with Columbus police while at the property.”
The temporary order included instructions to stay away from Quint and her home. It was in effect until a hearing scheduled for Monday during which Franklin County Domestic Relations Judge Terri Jamison will decide whether to extend the order or make it permanent.
Katzenmoyer is being held in the Franklin County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court tomorrow morning. The big back lives in Westerville; he and Quint married in 2007 and were divorced in 2010.
