For you diehard gamers out there, will you still buy this game? I was not going to buy it regardless due to the new releases of the 2 platforms and frankly the game hasn't gotten much better since 2006.

i will not buy the game now. it would only make me puke everytime i wanted to play it. besides in my house, there are no michigan items, nor anything resembling michigan.
Don't worry, he will be replaced by Devin Gardner on the cover by late October
I just threw up in my mouth! That's pathetic!!
You have to hate losing more than you love winning! GO BUCKS!!
I won't buy it but it has nothing to do with the cover. The game has been the same exact thing for 3 years just with a new cover and little things that have nothing to do with the game. When pregame cut scenes are the most hyped feature, something isn't right.
Boooooooo - how does this happen? Need to get Braxton (or another Buckeye if only seniors are eligible) up on that cover next year! Maybe Carlos Hyde....
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Good Lord does that fake cover get me fired up...too bad Mr. Simon won't be back for another year. Can't wait to see what he accomplishes in the NFL!
Already adjusted the size a little and printed this on photo paper...I can just use this every year.
Meh, let them have their video game covers. They collect video game covers while we collect gold pants.
I couldn't care less. Its a video game. If it plays well, I'll buy it.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I'd play the game but use the cover photos as a toilet seat.

I feel like the game is going to be amazing in August and September then just okay in October and pretty bad in November. Will be forgotten by December/January.
Who cares? He went 1-3 vs OSU. If anything this will mean he is cursed now.
Why was he even up for it? His team went 8-5. :/
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
People outside of the mich bubble can see that although DeNard was a great athlete, he was basically a kick returner playing QB. As much as they love him, mainly for providing all their offense, he really slowed the their offense's growth by 2-3 years.
They sat their best QB, by far, for years and put him at wide-out, and didn't implement the pro-style the new coaches were comfortable with... once De was a junior and hadn't become substantially better at passing there was no reason for Hoke, who was just coming in, not to switch back to the pro-offense.
I think a combination of not wanting to upset the fan base who loved De was a big part of it...but I don't think mich would've had a much different record his junior yr and I think it could've been better his senior year, if Gardner would've been made the starter in more of a pro-set, and De was put at wideout. Today mich would be going into their 3rd year with the offense they really want, Gardner would be much better at this point De would be a much better receiver by now as well... but as it stands, mich is really just implementing a new offense this year...yes I know they worked on it last year but they will not be up to speed for a while. They should be in year 3... Glad Urban took the leap and went right to his offense on day one. Our growing pains of learning a new offense consisted of a 12-0 season...sure we were frustrated as hell at some points, but who the hell can do a job like that in year 1? Urban F (ing) Meyer.
D. Anthony
Just to play devil's advocate here...3 of their 5 losses were when Denard was not their full time QB. So really, Denard only lost 4 games his Junior and Senior year.
That's because every time the scum would fall behind, Denard would fake an injury so they couldn't blame it on him.
I hate that he is on there, I voted for everyone that he was up against, my last vote being Ryan Swope. I'll still buy the game though

Looks like EA doesn't care about their sales in Ohio.

have this posted in the buckshots, but it was requested here as well. your welcome, planet earth.
Damn I was going to do the same with a picture of Janet Jackson but yours is better. Well played.

Buying the game would be tacit approval of scUM and I can not be a part of that.

yea, i just threw up a bit
Doesn't matter for me. I stopped buying this series a long time ago. EA Sports is just making slight changes to each new iteration and asking me to blow $60 a pop? Just furthers my hate for EA.

I'm posing this question out of genuine curiosity, and if it doesn't receive a legitimate answer that's fine, but do you guys hate Denard, or just the fact that he played for/attended your rival school?
Only asking this because I've seen on some threads Buckeye fans praise Denard for having good character, yet on others (^^) Buckeye fans more-or-less ripping him.
There are plenty of players in OSU's program I respect and would love to have at Michigan, while there are others who I dislike, and have an even further hatred for due to their colors. I always like to know which players my rivals respect (seems like most of you respect Trey Burke) and which you guys genuinely despise (seemingly Zack Novak/Taylor Lewan etc.)
I genuinely didn't mind Denard at all during his career until he did the "feed me" spooning it in celebration after every big play in the 2011 game. Kind of put him on a Mike Hart level for me, though maybe not quite that bad -- just very obnoxious. No greater joy for me than watching Carlos Hyde doing the spoon celebration toward the Michigan bench this year after ramming it down Michigan's throat all game.
I respect him as a player (though personally feel like he always would have fit better at WR), don't mind him at all as a person, but other than him playing for Michigan in general -- I think that game (and his repetitive spoon celebration) rubbed a lot of Buckeyes fans the wrong way. The players obviously felt the same way, otherwise Hyde wouldn't have reacted the way he did haha.
This has to be a sign of how weak the available people are this year. We end up with a guy who missed a couple games this year and was replaced at his primary position and he wasn't even used down the stretch in the biggest game of the year at his new position. I assume next year we will have some better options because it isn't like Ryan Swope isn't that much better of a choice.
You realize there were 64 teams initially, right? Once it was down to 8, a player representative was chosen for each of the top 8. John Simon, Kenjon Barner, Jarvis Jones, Eddie Lacy, EJ Manual, Tyler Eifert, Denard and Swopes were all finalists---Yes, John Simon.
The "weakness" you speak of is because the Heisman winner was an underclassmen and unable to go pro. It's a matter of picking your poison, IMO, because if it wasn't Denard, it would probably have been something to with Alabama hoisting the trophy.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

I do and honestly none of those guys really stand out to me either. I would love John Simon to be on there, but he also was out for solid chunks of the year (including the biggest game of the year). I suppose we probably would have had Manti Teo had that whole catfishing thing not happened.
Maybe picking teams doesn't make sense to start because it really is all about the player to me.
I tend to agree with you RDUBS. I voted all along the way, and no one really stood out to me. Outside of Johnny Football, Mantei T'eo and Braxton Miller, it was hard to say that there were really any individual players I followed week to week in college football this year -- and considering Manziel and Miller are underclassmen and weren't included in the vote, T'eo was the only real "superstar" choice, and his image was damaged between the BCS title game drubbing and the fake gf debacle to the point that he lost almost all the voting support he would have gotten. DRob has had a very solid overall career, and he started the season as one of those "superstar" choices, but he kind of ended his career on a whimper between the relatively poor QB play (9TDs/9Ints), the losses and his relegation to the WR/RB role due to injury.
Eddie Lacy was the last of the final 4 that I felt had a legitimate reason to be on the cover, and he was a bit of a 1-year wonder because of the way Alabama platoons RBs. Denard was what was leftover, in combination with a huge Michigan voting base (2nd biggest fanbase in the country behind OSU). That doesn't mean I don't think Denard deserves to be on the cover, I just think he was one of a large number of "mehhh" choices this year as RDUBS explained.
The leaked cover. Denard was indeed on the cover!
