What kills me is the folks around the room trying to keep a straight face when the music begins.
I never had a problem with Manny Acta (other than the W-L), but I can't imagine him doing this. If this is an indication of the looseness with which these guys are going to play, this campaign should be a lot of fun. Can't wait.
One thing to remember, the Giants were far from the most talented team top to bottom last season. A large part of why they won is because they had great chemistry, and just seemed to go out and have fun when they played. It sounds like a dumb little league "winning isn't everything" speech, but if you compare that with cases like the Red Sox fighting in the club house and what have you, things like this contribute to the game more than it would seem.
to your point, look what swish brought to the Yanks his first couple years. They were so uptight and he really helped them relax and enjoy ball again. I am not saying he is the reason they won another championship, but I know he helped.
With the reds Scott Rolen and Miguel Cairo were big locker room leaders that helped turn around the losing culture of my Redlegs.
I'm at the same point you are where I'm an Indians fan but am just getting over the Harlem Shake phase. Two reasons I loved this video: Terry Francona dancing is just hilarious, and its nice to see we have some team chemistry and can do fun stuff like this before the season starts especially with picking up some new guys.
As much as I hate the Harlem shake I can't help but like this. It's nice to hear about young guys doing something besides negotiating their next contract.
This was pretty cool and shows that Francona is going to make this team a lot better from a coaching perspective. Not to mention the acquisitions and current players. I thought it was cool to see them getting lose...too many coaches don't believe in that stuff and it's necessary. Helps to get players closer to each other as well as the coaches too (shows they're human too). We used to go on at least two outings a year in HS for football. It helped...I'm not so sure about doing a dance in costumes or what not but hey...whatever works.

Reds fan, but that was a lot of fun. You wahoos have to love seeing your team having a great time.

This team will be fun to watch if nothing else. Some good pickups this year. Good clubhouse guys as well as consistent producers.

Chemistry is huge in baseball.
I'm an Indians fan and while I enjoyed the video, is anyone else over the Harlem Shake already?
yes, before it started.

I wish this wasn't a thing...
