The executive summary:
1) USC was penalized by the NCAA for breaking NCAA rules that it claims not to have known about.
2) Some of the people involved in the USC investigation were later accused of wrongdoing in an unrelated matter, but it turned out that they didn't break NCAA rules.
Therefore, USC should sue the NCAA for employing people who eventually didn't break NCAA rules.
Utter genius.

It might be childish, but I got a good laugh off of her last name.
I've read some of her articles before:

She's the typical BR writer. I'm just surprised the title wasn't "Five reasons why USC should sue the NCAA".
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
How can you be a member of anything and not know the rules?
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
FYI, Her last name is pronounce Horn not Horney.
