Is Braxton as much of "Rock Star" on the Ohio State campus as "Johnny Football" is on the Texas A&M campus?
A&M is allowing Manzel to take his classes on-line so he isn't "bothered" on campus.

Interesting question. I remember being in class with Troy Smith (some rando advertising class) the spring quarter before he won his Heisman. Honestly, he kept to himself, sat in the back of the lecture hall with a couple girl[friend?]s, and wasn't ever really hounded by other students. Granted, he wasn't the demigod he became after he won, but he was still the starting QB at Ohio State.
Manziel's problem is novelty. I'm fairly certain most Aggies forgot the Heisman competition even existed until this season.
From the couple times I've seen him on campus, he seems to keep to himself and never looked like he wanted much attention from students. He seems to be a pretty humble kid from what I've read/seen, and seems to be a lot different than Johnny football
First off, A&M isn't "allowing" Manziel to do anything. The online course option is available at nearly every major college these days, including OSU.
its still pathetic, online classes are easy if you have a planner, just write down everything you have to do in all your classes on monday, and do it. not to mention manziels parents, and probably others are financially capable of putting a tutor right beside him while hes in front of the screen. its a cop out to me quite frankly and i hope other players dont start doing it.

IS--Big Man off campus
You clearly have never taken an online class. Until you do so, do not lecture others on how "easy" it is. I would go so far as to say in most cases it is MORE work to take an online class and requires a lot more discipline than simply showing up at a lecture hall.
im taking 3 right now so good call there, and im not lecturing anyone, think what you want, im commenting on a forum. school tkaes discipline online or in person for some people online classes are easier for some lectures are, im addressing johnny manziel here and i truly beleive the online route is probably easier for him, and he very well may have a tutor (answer giver) sitting beside him in front of the computer.
Ohhh quick edit. I caught that 'when you assume' comment-much like the assumptions you make about him having a tutor next to him, but what do I know?
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
im not assuming i said he very may well, not he CLEARLY does like cincyosu said, and the bit i edited was a quote from michael clarke duncans character in slammin salmon, ever seen it?
Oh so its a matter of semantics that interests you then. Got it.
"Clearly you have never taken an online class"-assumption (agreed).
"He may very well have a tutor"-Not an assumption per you? This is where we part ways.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
ok dude, im sorry, is it an assumption if i say he might have a tutor? kinda like going from 75% to 50% unlike 100% clearly
Don't apologize man, stick to your guns.

im sticking to my guns fool, im asking if might and very may well are assumptions or not, if one isnt an assumption than neither is the other, assumptions are conclusions reached, not a hunch that is left verbally open ended.

oh im sorry what is #pushover? and look at you berating me for stating my personal opinion, then telling me that what I said was an assumption even though i believe i didnt come across that way and now your leaving the topic and accusing me of doing something you have already done, what is wrong with you i just wanted to speculate about manziels class schedule and look at you, Mr. Forum Sheriff
Mr. Forum Sheriff was my father.

finally! humor and not a fight from this guy
btw i wish all lectures were is showing up lol papers, quizzes, tests---every class, online or in person
Of course what I said was an assumption, but you are doing the same thing with your comments about Manziel having someone doing his work...and now you are upset that you got called out on your hypocrisy.
While I disagree that online courses are easier under normal circumstances, I do agree that players in general taking these courses could lead down a very slippery slope...but at this point it's a little unfair to assume/have a hunch/think/etc that anyone but JM is doing his work.
hypocrisy? jeez, i never made an assumption, im being speculative. unlike the thousands of comments ive seen saying INVESTIGATE THIS KID NOW! or how about LETS BURN OLE MISS THEY SIGNED FIVE STAR RECRUITS! haha give me a break
I think KFF is correct. His comments seem more speculation than assumption.

Brewster, Kev good points. But Kev, my man, please proof-read and use a capital letter once in a while. I don't consider myself a grammar nazi, but some of the posts are a little hard to read.
Yeah sorry about that I was kind of just reeling them off, I'm trying to quit smoking and have been irritable.
Good luck!
Edit - Duplicate post...sorry.
So would guys think any less of Braxton or any athlete if he took online classes? I dont think you would. It does happen here at OSU
It's going to be one vs two most of the year IMO. I can see both ending up one vs two in the Heisman voting as well.
