I was listening to the radio this afternoon here in Toledo, when I heard this asshole, "Johny D," talking about how he thinks that OSU shouldn't put up a statue in honor of Woody Hayes. Johnny is a Michigan fan. Shocker. Just like all the big mouths over at WSPD. Fred LeFebre, from Flint,(think small shit house)Michigan is another. I tried to get through on the phone and tell him what a bunch of imbeciles they are. Their main reason for them thinking there shouldn't be a Woody statue is because he punched the Clemson player.
Maybe he doesn't realize that enough "non-Ohio State" fans thought enough of Woody to put him in the College Football HOF. There obviously is a lot of butthurt coming from these knucklehead TTUN fans.
Anyway, they blocked my e-mail from getting through because of the last time I heard them disrespecting everything Ohio State(around the end of November, last fall), I gave them a peice of my mind. And I didn't resort to vulgar language.
Anyway, I wish everyone that can on 11W would e-mail these mental midgets and remind them that Woody is in the College Football HOF and that it's a free friggin country, and if OSU wants a Woody statue, they have that #$%damn right!

Not sure... but if I recall correctly he left town for some big time gig (LA maybe?) and couldn't cut it there. The radio personalities in this town are a joke. Cannot think of one that I actually feel is worth listening to.

It's ok, the great thing about where we live is that you have the right to be dumb, & this Johny fellow is freely exercising that right. Regardless of his opinion, there's a statue now...so, his opinion doesn't really matter a whole bunch...

Johnny, why don't you ask yourself this question: "would Bo Schembechler want a statue of Coach Hayes be erected?"
I wish that both Michigan and Ohio State would put up statues of Woody and Bo outside their respective stadiums. Perhaps have grads of each school design their respective university's statue, but place them both right outside the main gate of each stadium. The history of both men are so intertwined, they deserve to be immortalized together--companion pieces in history, a metaphor for the rivalry they so intensely fueled.

He's on WSPD AM radio because the last guy got fired. He wasn't trolling. But at least the last guy didn't bust on Ohio State all day like Fred LeFebre and rag does. I'm done with that station.

Growing up near Toledo and listening to the radio I can vouch for this guys nonsense being too much. He would say ANYTHING to get a rile from people and sometimes it was halarious. But it was childish and I was a teenager, so my level of humor was immature. Now having been in other markets living in different places, the Toledo market is at a huge loss for talent. It just doesn't command the best talent at all. Guys like him can do really well because they are kinda funny, but course and childish. That doesn't work in other markets where you need something more than that.
That a great point Steensn. The Toledo radio market is not a destination, it's a stepping stone. Or at least it should be. But assholes like this guy never leave because they can't make it in Chicago, Detroit or LA or whatever.
I've lived in Toledo all my life and I know how insufferable these TTUN fans can be. I would love to have a couple of Ohio State guys on the radio in A2 or Detroit, ripping on the Crapperines all day long and see how well that goes over.
