If you had to pick a play?

Next weekend, a family member set up a nice little Saturday for me and a couple friends to take a behind the scenes tour of Ohio Stadium.  I'm not sure what all is involved in it but I am sure we will get a chance to be on the field.  My first thought was to text all those involved to memorize the preciseness to be able to reenact their favorite play that happened at The Shoe.  I already have mine down pat, but I thought it would be fun and interesting to see the perspectives of the 11W audience.  Again, this is only at The Shoe so plays like "Holy Buckeye", "The Final Play", and "The Catch" do not qualify.

Mine came down to 2 and the below link edged out Braxton to Devin against Wisconsin last year, simply because it sealed it for us.

Still love the bomb to Teddy Ginn in the '06 game against Michigan, I know it wasn't at the end of the game.

How about Terry Glenn's touchdown against Notre Dame, where the DB's were supposed to be faster than him?

Do have to say, I'm slightly partial to this play...

We were in the stadium for the 06 game.  As the Buckeyes came up to the line, Ginn was tight.  Before they even got set I told my wife that it was a deep pass to Ginn.  Could not have been better executed.  Loved every second of it.  The people around us were amazed that I was calling TD before the ball was even snapped.  UM's defense was prepared to stop the usual Tressel short yardage play.  Yeah, that had to be one of the best.

Troy's reverse-field TD pass to Robiskie vs. Penn State in 2006 rates up there for me. I remember getting up off my seat and nearly jumping over the guy in front of me at the Buffalo Wild Wings I was watching it at.

Holy buckeye will always be my favorite OSU memory. Partially because I was there, Partially because my best friend is an alum who still gets disgusted at the sight of Michael Jenkins, part of it because it was my favorite memory of my favorite season.

That's a fantastic tour.  Hope you get to see the locker room, as I did not.  I went the Tuesday after the Purdue game and described the Brax whiplash and Kenny G savior plays to a bunch of visiting business men who actually really enjoyed the tour, almost as much as I did.

Make sure you take note of the Band/ Sousaphone rooms (separate but together) and Les Wexners box.

Also if I could have hoisted out a couple of those couches/ chairs in the recruiting room shaped like football helmets the living room would have been redecorated.

Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...

How about the wheel route to Maurice Clarrett late in the fourth quarter.  That play didn't result in 6 points but it put the Buckeyes in great position to score what would be the go ahead touchdown against m*ich*gan in '02...

...or Will Allen's interception at the goal line to seal the victory and send us to the Nat'l Championship!!

I was thinking the same game...how about the option to Maurice Hall that proved to be the game winner? The only time we ran that play that season, if I recall!

I have that listed as a fav moment on my profile. Google the Paul hit...that one is nasty too.

If one of those friends is on your bad side, you can make him be Braylon Edwards and flail by you as you return a punt for a TD...

I'm partial to the Will Allen defensive play to seal the against Michigan in 2002. Not flashy but monumental.

2 feet away from that season ending with the Bucks in 3rd place. Iowa would have won the Big Ten, Michigan would have taken second place. I've watched that play countless times-That WR was open, Allen made a great play.

Not to bring the mood down, but the bad plays stick with me too much... I cannot go very long without the image of Ryan Hamby dropping a sure TD pass (twice) that would've put Texas away and kept that idiot Vince Young and Texas out of the NC game.

Hamby dropped a touchdown in the third quarter. Jim Tressel's QB Roulette cost OSU that game, not Hambone.

And that idiot was the Heisman Trophy winner had Reggie Bush not had such a super human season.

Ohhh that's a good one. That was a really good NC State team OSU beat. Rivers, TA McClendon, Jerricho Cotchery.

I believe it was AJ who stuff TA, correct?

I believe it was Hawk. McClendon got hit and spun into the hole, I believe he tried backing into the endzone and Hawk stoned him.

no, it was Will Allen:

"Will Allen barreled into Wolfpack tailback T.A. McLendon on fourth-and-goal, lowering his left shoulder to stop McLendon just inches from the end zone as the defending national champion Buckeyes (3-0) won their 17th consecutive game."

Solid find. That was part of a tear where Will Allen made monumentous plays for OSU over a 2 year stretch. The previously mentioned INT against Michigan, one of the biggest plays of the game against Miami-intentional or not, with Willis rolling, Miami might have taken that NCG over, this play, and I believe he made another one a week or two before or after this NC State game, a long INT is coming to mind for some reason.

Edit-Yep, a 100 yard INT return in a real snooze fest 16-13 win over SDSU.
