I live in NKY and have worked with people from Cincinnati, and I can tell you it's funny how different people on both sides of the river really think the other side is. It's people who don't actually live here who think both are the same. Thats not only an attitude in Ohio. The rest of KY thinks it about NKY too.
Definitely true- I lived in Cincy from abou age 6 to age 18, and I definitely though of NKY as some sort of barbaric backwoods no-go zone. I'm sure in reality it was pretty much like my neighborhood.
The best thing about Cincy is I-75. If traffic's not heavy, you can drive through pretty quick without stopping. I'm more of a Cbus man myself. However, I'm willing to give the city another chance by attending the spring game.

I myself do not like the road signs up inside the bridge when your traveling 60 mph and you don't know what lane you need to be in untill the last second when it's bumper to bumper..
I'm no tree hugger or environmentalist wacko or anything, but...is that really something to brag about? I mean shit!
Ok. It's on.
Up here near Toledo, at Maumee Bay State Park, an Ohio State Park mind you, it's beautiful! Beautiful park. Not being sarcastic there. The State of Ohio spent millions of taxpayer $ to built this "resort." But guess what? In the summer you can't swim there because of all of the fecal coliform(shit) floating in the bay and Lake Erie, from Toledo's sewage treatment plants.
So there.

Love the Reds, and the local food joints...Cincy is easily my 2nd favorite Ohio city and probably the only other one I could live in if I had to live outside of Columbus... BUT it's just a little too Northern Kentucky / Cincitucky to challenge Columbus for best city in Ohio.
I think people from Columbus who haven't been down this way in a while will find it quite a bit better than last time Ohio State Football came to PBS. The Banks is really nice, and by the April 13, a new place called the Yard House will be added. It's supposed to be a really cool bar/restaurant. The Lager House is a good time. The Tin Roof is a great time. Holy Grail is great too.
After the game, the Casino will be open. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is opening there and Bobby Flay is opening one of his Bobby's Burger Palace restaurants there. There are definitely more entertainment options than before.
Those youngsters missed alot. Roy Rogers born there, Burger, little kings, Schoenling, Bararossa and Wiedemann Beers. Bob Screve. Captain Al's. Coney and the University there winning back to back National Championships. (Bet I get downvoted for that)
Man if you're not from here you don't get it. Nothing like Going form Batavia to Cincy in the crazy weather to get some Hudy and goetta from B-dubs.
Our honor Defend!
Everytime I hear the word GOETTA I start to drool! I miss it so bad but it's 80 degrees and sunny today here in Florida!

Your post makes me realize exactly how little I know about Cincy.
You have to think about what would happen if Germany and Kentucky had a love child to really get Cincy.

I think you confused Cincinnati with Columbus.
"Fire Marvin Lewis" should have been said in this video.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
I agree. Cincinnati will forever be Cincinasty in my book.

I can't remember the last time I went to Cincy or through it on a week day without traffic on 75 going to a complete stop at least once.
We've had very different experiences, lol.
I try and experience Cincy the least amount possible. The drive through on 75 is more than enough for me.

I saw the beard on the first video, and that is all I needed to know. I wanna see that beard in person.... I am going
I didn't know Amish existed in Cincy? That is the "mother of all beards!" Is he really from Kentucky? Might explain it a little.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
That's an Mennonite beard for sure.
As a native Clevelander, I laugh at people in Cincinnati thinking their river is dirty. Our river is the reason the EPA exists!

We took such pride in our burning river that we have beer named after it...
Seriously though, the Cuyahoga is a much healthier river now, it's now fishable for the first time in 8 decades.
