Browns are interested in Stoneburner
He had an interview with them yesterday. The Browns have said they are looking to take a pass catching TE in the early rounds. They have also interviewed three other TE's. Also Jake's measurables at the combine were 6'3 252 pds so apparently he shrunk 2 inches and put on 12 pds since the season ended. The Browns are also interested in Fragel who I truly believe has a bright future. On a sad note they also interviewed two kickers so far so they might not resign their most potent offensive weapon Phil Dawson.
Bet they get more out of Stoney than the 'f'n soldier' Winslow Jr. They'll just need to show Jake where the facilities are....

As a Browns fan also I understand your sadness concerning Dawson. The guy can flat out kick! This would be year three if given the franchise tag again, which would greatly inflate his salary beyond the typical kicker salary.
I would love to see Jake in a Brown's jersey. Watson is in the twilight of his career and Cameron has not stepped up. I hope the Browns address other glaring needs via free agency, which they have plenty of cap money.
K2 gets a bad rap, and only most of it is deserved. Yeah, he was/is a loudmouth. Yeah, he screwed himself/us on the motorcycle. When he was on the field though, he always played hard. It is too bad his immaturity got in the way of his skills- he was really, really talented.
