Voters were smart enought to keep Modell out- hopefully equally smart in letting CC in.

Good. Dude has done nothing deserving of being in the HoF. Fired Paul Brown, essentially pissed off Jim Brown and led to his retirement. Had a mediocre/inconsistent franchise after Paul Brown's firing. Also his role in the NFL's TV contract growth/explosion is far overplayed.

Bingo. He was also a terrible business man who borrowed so much even though Cleveland fans packed Municipal for years. Forced to sell most of his stake in the Ravens almost as soon as he moved the team. Many more deserving owners should be in over Art. Eddie DiBartolo is one.

Browns' record post-Blanton Collier (marking the end of the Paul Brown era) with Modell as the owner was .504. That's not HOF-worthy as far as wins and losses are concerned.

He took credit for Wellington Mara's idea of MNF and only moved the team because he was a selfish a-hole who complained about having to share the Muni with the Tribe.

Tommy Vardell may have been his idea for all we know.

Andre Rison. Need I say more?

Does any of that make him HOF-worthy? I sure as heck don't.
