Buckeyes move from #25 to #6. TAMU, South Carolina, Alabama, Auburn, and ND fill the #1 to #5 spots respectively. Staples doesn't say too much about how he did the reranking, but it is at least a little interesting to go back and see just how well the recruiting services did with their predictions.

Weird note after OSU:
30-8 since 2010? Including the bowl loss last year, I believe 30-9, or 31-9 if they didn;t count bowls. We were 11-2 in 2010 and had 7 losses in 2012. Count the season that should have not been vacated and this is 42-10 in 4 seasons. Take the 6-7 disaster away and 36-3 in 3 seasons. Wow.
You are incorrect. We were 12-1 in 2010.
The "Take away the worst season" game isn't really intellectually honest.
In short I agree with your point though, 31-8 is pretty amazing considering last year.
First ever post, long time reader.
You really don't know much about a class immediately after signing day. I am very happy we filled the holes that we did. I think in a few years this could turn out to be one of the best we've ever had.
"As with real-time recruiting rankings, the criteria are somewhat murky. The best way I can describe them is that a class that produces impact players for a successful team will earn the highest rankings. Basically, these re-rankings honor the coaches who develop talent instead of the ones who simply collect it."
Not sure even he stuck to his parameters, as many of the top 10 are schools who "collected talent" that didn't necessarily need to be developed that much (Alabama, OSU, LSU, Oklahoma, etc...).
