Hey sorry if people hate talking about this stuff, but I would like to know quite frankly. Has anyone heard anything about the jersey situation for 2013/when the pro combats from 2012 will go on sale? I have maintained that the two aforementioned questions have a linked answer, that tOSU will have new jerseys in 2013, but that of course is speculation, hence the forum post.

likewise, maybe the only thing i would change is the burgundy-ish undershirts, say what you will about the chrome helmets, but those are the classiest damn chrome helmets you'll find anywhere, plus its not true shiny mirror chrome
Some of my friends also mentioned something about the burgundy-ish undershirts... I guess it was pretty apparent on TV but being at the game I couldn't tell... Here is my theory though... If you look at some pregame pictures or some of the players who don't have them stretched out, they look black. Now I think there is supposed to be scarlet underneath the black layer which made it look that way. Could be completely wrong but that is what it seems to me.
I'd love to see these uni's be permanent.

I thought the helmet looked like a Christmas Tree ornament. However, If the numbers and players' names were in white these would be some sick sick jerseys. Give me more Matte on the helmet, especially the fat red stripe.

I see why they call you Game Time... BRAVO my friend. love the scarlet face mask. hard to believe how such a subtle change can have such a big impact. also liked the stripe on the longer sleeve undershirt. Would not change a thing with the home or away uni's you created. Would love to see the black (with white #'s) used for a prime time night game match-up (like at PSU when they are doing their "white out" thing). Liked the grey too just maybe a little darker. I really would love to see the chrome helmet with the thick stripe stick... i just think it looks BADASS. Is there a more perfect time for us to update the uni's as we head into the Urban Era??? Wish you were on the Nike staff :)

I think new jerseys are overdue. By new jerseys I mean another tweak. Ohio State is awesome becuase they update their jerseys but the classical elements to it never die, the stripes and the colors mainly. This is by far my favorite pro combat they have worn with the 2009 being a close second. Plus, why not change them? Everyone apparently hated the ones launched in 06 so we shouldn't really be too attached to the ones we have now, especially since we haven't really won anything in them (won rose bowl, forfeited sugar bowl, lost 2 NCG's, lost to texas in the fiesta, lost to the gators in the gator bowl) so if superstition floats you boat, I just sunk it.
I want tOSU to get as much revenue as possible. Weeks leading up to The Game after the jerseys leaked I thought: I'd really like to rock one of those Saturday afternoon . . . but nothing on sale for me to buy. Now it's a few months later, the season is many months away and my need for a ProCombat uni has cooled. Does anyone know why they didn't put these on sale two weeks before The Game? I'm genuinely interested on how all these merchandising deals go down. Was it due to the new single producer merch deal being negotiated?
With all that said: love them and hope they return for Wiscy or UM game next year.
PS: Big fan of BB team wearing the all gray unis at home. Not a fan of the white.
I think these would be even better if the numbers were either black or white. The grey numbers just look off to me. Idk though that's just my opinion.

By a landslide the best alt unis we have worn. Possibly the best I have seen, being a bit biased. And hey, they rep 12-0.

Here's something to remember.
Since 2000:
Oregon (infinite, alternate unis) - zero NC's.
Alabama (one uni, two versions) - 3 NC's.

yeah that comment is almost downvotable, alabama had a pro combat a couple of years ago. alabama wins because they are the best and oregon is really the only pretty good team with alot of alternate uni's.
I had heard that the 2012 pro combat series were not going to be sold to the public.
Im sure you can get a good chinese knockoff? Those things are getting better every year. Still my favorite was the whites they wore at scum. Anything looks good when you beat that ass though.
